It's A Card Making Kind Of Day

Hey Everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a wonderful day! I have 2 new cards to share with you today. This first card was inspired by all of the beautiful twine projects I've been spotting online and in magazines. I am always amazed at what fellow crafters can do with this adorable crafty medium! So I wanted to give some twine a try. For this card, I created a ribbon spool SVG. I cut the spools out of some brown patterned paper that I found in my scraps bin. I then put some adhesive on the back and wrapped the twine around each spool. I used some pop dots to pop these spools up on my card. I also added a couple of pins to 2 of the spools. The twine and pins on this card could easily be removed and reused by the recipient of this card.

Also, if you would like this ribbon spool SVG, shoot me an email at aymee810@yahoo.com and I'll be glad to share. I created it this morning especially for this project.

To show a bit of dimension on the card...
I added a couple of smaller spools of twine to the inside of the card.
Now on to the next card. This morning I was blog hopping and visited the fabulous Momenta Blog! I am so glad I did because I saw a card by Christine Meyer that was just the cutest! Christine showed how to use your border punch and paper scraps to create a unique look. Check out her project HERE. Isn't that the cutest?!!! I hope Christine won't mind me lifting her idea. I had purchased the punch she used a few weeks ago and haven't used it too much. So I just had to give this a go and I'm so glad I did! It's a great way to use up scraps and to add a pop of color! Thank you Christine for the wonderful inspiration!!

Hi,
I linked to your blog from Jenny's Heart. I am your newest follower. I think your designs are awesome. Scrapping is probably the one thing I have yet to get more into. I did make cards one fall a couple years ago and sent them all out to friends and family. Just for fun. They turned out really well, but honestly I am so obsessive- compulsive about my crafts that having yet another one was just not going to work - I don't have enough time to work on the things I have started now. so, I'll just enjoy looking at yours!
Please join me on my new blog, Ric Rac and Polka Dots. I'm brand new, but have lots of really fun things planned to share. A little bit of everything, quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, cooking, gardening, you name it! I love doing it all.
Now, if I had the Cricut cutter or one of those machines, then I would do more paper crafts. Actually I want the fabric one for quilting, but it's a little out of my budget!!
I hope to see you at the blog. Leave a comment if you do visit so I can see you were there and get your feedback. Any suggestions on making my blog fun will be appreciated!

I absolutely LOVE the knitting spool card! It's so adorable and precise, you must've put a ton of time and effort into it!

I would love if you joined my new blog, Made Especially For You. It's brand new so I'm still getting started, but I have lots of creative plans for it, including my own creations, tips and product reviews.
