Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder from Disney's The Little Mermaid

Hello all! Well, I am going to be selling some of my Disney Princesses for someone who asked me to make them for her and I wanted to share them along the way. Here is the first one, Ariel.

I cut Ariel at a 5" and have added alot of Stickles Glitter Glue for some extra bling.

Next, I did Sebastian. This was the first time I've ever done him. Lovin' all the stickles on him. I cut him at a 3 1/2".

Finally, here is Flounder. Another first, but really enjoyed doing this one as well. I cut Flounder at a 4".

Thanks for lookin'! Take care!

This week's challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot

Hey yall! This week's challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot was to create a card for your significant other. In my case, that would be my husband, Brandon. I decided to use one of my own sketches for this one. Now, I followed the sketch religiously, even using the same colors, but you could change this up any way that you wanted. Here is my original sketch:

And here is my card that I made:

I used a plastic embellishment from Fiskars for the heart. I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the D'Vine Swirl folder. I then added a 'love' sticker and some ribbon.

I also used the Swiss Dots and Script Embosssing Folders for this one. I did all of the stitching with my sewing machine. I traced the arrows from a template book I have and cut those out. Then, I just used 3 black brads.

This card was really very easy. I hope Brandon will like it. I think I will have it waiting for him when he returns from Philly. Just a little note on how much I love him, no special occasion needed.

Thanks for stopping in! Take care!

Insomnia? No Problem! Scrap!!! LOL

Good Morning everyone! Well, I was home alone last night and just could not sleep. So what to do?? Scrap, of course! LOL. I am so behind on my challenges for the month, so I decided to get some of those done.

This first layout is doing Triple-duty for me! Whoo hoo! First, I am using it for Prompt #15 at Gutter Girlz. The prompt this time included 'Stronger Woman.' Well when I thought about this, I knew I had to scrap about my bff, my mom. She is such an amazing woman. I am a strong woman today because of her. I have her to thank for almost everything! I love her very much and I hope this layout will pay tribute to her. I also am using this for 2 challenges at Treasured Scrapbooking...one is a sketch challenge and the other was to use 'cutwork' on your layout. I also wanted to point out this cute paper!!! I am in love with this paper! It is a DCWV stack and it is so darn cute!!!! I used it twice tonite. I used the Cricut Stone Script cart for the red lettering. I journaled around the outside edge of the layout and that journaling says:
"My hero and my role model is my very best friend, my mother. She is such an amazing woman. She is a wonderful wife, mother, teacher, and friend. She has always been there for me and for that I am forever grateful. I hope she will always know how much she means to me!"
Then, I also journaled by the side of the pic. That journaling reads:
"Mom, As I sit here working on this layout, memories we have made flood my mind and tears start to pool in my eyes! You are so good to me! You support and encourage me in all that I do. Why are you so good to me, Mom? I hope that I can return all that love!!!"
Here is this layout:

"I Am A Stronger Woman Because of You"

Close up of the cutwork. I also used some Stickles on the big flower for some bling.

Next, this layout is for a challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking. The challenge was to use a longer, quirky title on a layout. I just kept thinking about this photo of Carter and how he is such a goofy goober, as we call him. That child cracks me up! So I had to scrap this. I used Home Accents for the flourish. I also used more of that cute paper!! Then I decided to use up some odd lettering and chipboard too. I journaled around the circle and it reads:
"Carter is always doing something to make us laugh! He really is the funniest kid I've ever met! He is the biggest goober!"
LOL! Crackin' me up this morning! I hope my SIL will see this! I think it would make her smile! So mom, if you are reading this, pass this along to Caressa! ;) Here is the layout:

"You're A Goofy Goober"

Isn't this the goofiest, but cutest looking critter?! Ha ha ha

Last, this layout is doing double duty for more challenges. I am using it for this month's sketch challenge and Debbie's 'Time' Challenge on Treasured Scrapbooking. The sketch involved alot of circles. Debbie's Challenge was to use the word 'time' somewhere on the layout and to use a clock. I cut the clock out with the Happily Ever After cartridge. The flourishes around the clock were cut with Home Accents and the title was cut with Stone Script. I don't know if you can tell, but I used stickles over the word 'everything' to really emphasize that part. Time spent with my husband truly means EVERYTHING to me!!!!! The little pink dots you see are pink pearls. Here is this one:

"Time Spent With You Means Everything To Me"

So, all in all, I was able to complete 6 challenges!!! Whoo Hoo! It feels so good to be catching up!!! I hope all of you have a wonderful week! Take care and thank you, as always, for stopping by!

What I've Been Up To This Weekend

Hey everyone! Did you have a good weekend? I hope so. I had a wonderful weekend. I got to spend some quality time with the hubby and just had a really good time. First, I'd like to share my card for one of our challenges at Cuttlebug Challenges Blogspot. Our challenge this Saturday was to weave. Here is a link to the challenge:

http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/01/cuttlebug-sketch-hour-i-weave-you-weave.html

I've done some weaving before, but this was so fun. I would of never thought to emboss over the weaving! I also made my own fabric flower by using my friend Cristal's fabric flower tutorial. This is all new to me, but it was very easy and so fun!!! Here is my card:

Next, I did a few Valentine note cards to stick in with some packages that I mail out each month. These were all really simple and quick! Gotta love that!

Last, I just had to share with yall my deal of the century! LOL. While Brandon and I were out and about yesterday, we stopped by HobbyTown USA. Brandon is into the model train thing and wanted to go in and look. Well, the Salvation Army store is also in the same shopping center. We had never been in there, so decided to sneak a peek. I bought this table to use as a sewing table for $5.99!!!!!!! Can you believe that?! I was so excited all day! Now, it's straight out of the 70's and needs an 'Aymee' touch up, but that is what paint is for, right? So I am going to fix it up asap. But for now, here it is. I love it! It's really sturdy and has 7 dwarers. Perfect for me! So go dig in those stores ladies! You never know what you will find!!!

I hope all of you have a wonderful week! Take care! I'm off to scrap!

Card Makin' Thursday

Hey everyone! How's it goin? I have been making a few cards today. My card box is getting empty, so I am trying to stock it back up. So I decided to do a couple of those "Sheetload Full Of Cards." I just love to do these!! It shows you how to take a few sheets of paper and make it into several cards. This particular pattern yielded 8 card fronts. I also enjoyed getting to use some stamps that have been laying around, especially my fashion and southernbelle stamps. So here is what I have been up to today:

Hope all of you are ready for a great weekend!!! Take care and thanks, as always, for stopping by!
