Katie Scarlett's Valentine's Photo Shoot

Hey guys! Our little Katie Scarlett will be celebrating her very first Valentine's Day really soon! Yay! She is even attending a 'ball' with her boyfriend, Peyton! The Valentine's Day Ball on Yorkie Talk is in a 1900's era theme. She will be going in style, of course! Y'all know me...love to theme it up! I had a ball gown and Victorian era hat custom made for my little southern belle! Tee hee! We did a photo shoot today! Here is her picture that we will be submitting for the official ball photo:
And I made a slideshow with some of our other photos from the afternoon photo shoot that I thought I would share. Enjoy!

Welcome To Our Love Nest

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! I hope you have had a fabulous week so far! Any fun plans for the weekend? The hubby is taking me on a date today! Yay! Katie Scarlett will go to doggy daycare for the day. Then, I need to go grocery shopping and we are planning on staying in this weekend. Katie Scarlett has training class on Saturday, but other than that we are gonna chill. I am going to cook a roast, so that will be super fun and yummy! I hope all of you guys have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Now, on to the scrappy stuff! I have a new post going up over at the Creative Charms blog today and I wanted to share my project with you here as well. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I decided to create something to hang by our front door. I purchased this wooden birdhouse at a local craft store for a dollar. I decided to make it into a little 'love nest' for the holiday. I began by spritzing the bird house with some pink Glimmer Mist. This not only added color to my birdhouse, but was a fast process. It was dry and ready to be embellished in a matter of minutes!

"Love Nest"

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper: K & Co
Alphabet Stickers: Harmonie
Glimmer Mist: Tattered Angels
Ribbon, Felt Embellishments, Brads, Rhinestones, Butterfly: Creative Charms
Adhesive: Helmar, hot glue gun/glue sticks
Other: wooden birdhouse
For the front of my birdhouse, I added bling, alphabet stickers, and a beautiful butterfly.
I replaced the original cording that came with the birdhouse with some cute ribbon from Creative Charms to act as my hanging mechanism.
Here is the side view of the birdhouse. I decorated both sides of the house the same.
 Back of the birdhouse...
And here is a closer view of the felt embellishments...
Thank so much for taking a moment to drop by my blog today! I hope you have enjoyed this project!

Have a fabulous weekend!

I Am "Yorkie" To Love

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I have a post going up over at the "She's A Sassylady" blog today and I thought I would share my project with you here as well. I have created a "Yorkie" theme project. If you don't already know, I am the proud Mommy of one of the cutest Yorkshire Terriers you ever did see, Katie Scarlett! Tee hee! She is my pride and joy! Well, little Miss Katie Scarlett has a boyfriend! He is a Yorkie too and his name is Peyton. Katie Scarlett will be sending Peyton this notecard set gift bag and a card for Valentine's Day. She wants Peyton to know that she is his 'key' to love!

"I Am 'Yorkie' To Love"

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Core'dinations
Pre-Made Cards: My Mind's Eye
Bitty Bag, Crinkle Ribbon: My Craft Spot
Alphabet Stickers: Jillibean Soup, Momenta, The Paper Studio
Rhinestones: Studio G
Decorative Edge Scissors: Fiskars
Hole Punch: Crop-A-Dile
Electronic Cutting Machine: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Software: Cricut Gypsy, Sure Cuts A Lot (Craft Edge)
Cartridge: Gypsy Wanderings, Home Decor'
SVG: made the Yorkie svg myself
Adhesive: Helmar, ZIG Glue Pen

You'll have to excuse my corny humor! Y'all know me...

This is the front of my project. I used a bitty bag from My Craft Spot to hold 5 notecards. I tied off the bag with some crinkle ribbon.
The key is from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge and love is from the Home Decor' cartridge. I used a mix of alphabet stickers for the rest.
Then on the back I have a Yorkie that I cut using my Cricut and SCAL software. I made this Yorkie SVG myself. I also a bit of bling to the back.
I had to add a little rhinestone to the bow so that it would match my Katie Scarlett. She is such a little diva!
Inside there are 5 pre-printed notecards. The notecards have a Yorkie silhouette on the front and a 'P' to stand for Peyton on their as well. I hope Peyton and his Mommy will like these! There are 3 of this card below...
 And two of this pattern....
I love these pre-printed notecards from My Mind's Eye!
I hope you have enjoyed this project! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope to see you again soon! Happy Scrappin'!!!

P.S. I will be posting the winner of the RAK from last week before the day is out!! :)

Katie Scarlett's First Snow

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! It is snowing here in PA!!! It's Katie Scarlett's first snow and I just had to share it with you guys! Also, an update for those following along with my little girl...she is doing great! She had her spay surgery on Monday and she is recovering quickly. She has been feeling great and we are so pleased with her progress. Of course, we have been keeping her confined in the den with us and not letting her get too crazy as she heals. Thank you for all of you who checked up on her! Love you guys!

This is a candy wrapper for a Hershey bar. I stamped the sentiment 'How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways' on the front of the bitty bag. I also stamped on the hearts. Then inside the bitty bag are tickets that pull out telling 'the ways I love thee.' Tee hee! I hope the hubby will like it!
Up close of my bitty bag...
I used seam binding to attach my tickets together. You pull on the seam binding and the tickets pull out one at a time.
Here are my tickets pulled out. I used stamps from My Craft Spot to stamp on each of them.
Isn't this red/pink/white twine the cutest?! It's so festive for Valentine's Day!

This is a large card. It measures 8.5 x 5.5 inches. It fits perfectly into the large bitty bag. I used crinkle ribbon to tie off my bitty bag. I must say, they sure make one cute envelope for a card!

This Too Shall Pass

Hey y'all! It's Monday night and I wanted to check in with a little update on my Katie Scarlett. As many of you know, she had her spay surgery today. Everything went well with the surgery and she is now at home resting comfortably. She is groggy and a little sore, but Mommy is tending to her every need. I am pampering her as much as I can. Daddy has to work tonite, so Mommy is going to sleep in the den with her where it is easier for her to get to her pee pee pad. I am going to blow up the air mattress and sleep in the floor beside her so I'll be there for whatever she needs. I gotta take care of my precious angel!

Here are some pix I took of her. She is sleeping peacefully. I keep telling her that 'this too shall pass.'
Even in dreamland, that face is still the most precious sight I ever saw!
She woke up toward the end of me snapping pix. I can see in her eyes that she doesn't feel very good. I wish I could take the pain away and feel it for her. I'd do anything to make her feel like her old self. But I know it takes time and she will be back to her Katie Scarlett self in a few days. But Mommy still wishes she could take the pain away. I tell you guys, this dog (my child, as I say) has really taught me the true meaning of unconditional love. I mean, I love my husband, my parents, and my whole family with ever fiber in my body...but this girl means more to me than I ever can explain! I love her so much and I would do anything for her! I pray that she is with us a long, long time. She is a blessing from above!
And last, but not least, I tinkered in Photoshop with one of the pix. Katie Scarlett wanted me to tell the world that her recovery is a bit sweeter thanks to dreams of her sweet boyfriend, Peyton! Tee hee!
Night night all! Have a great day tomorrow!
