Hey yall! I just finished up this layout for 2 challenges. First, the weekly sketch challenge on Unscripted Sketches. Second, for Lisa's "Pretty It Up" challenge on Treasured Scrapbooking. Lisa asked us to use doilies, paper mache', lace, etc. to pretty up a layout. I chose to use some paper doilies. I used a full one in the upper left hand corner. Then I used another to make my own 'lace.' I used my Fiskars Lace Apron punch for the edges of the brown patterned paper. I also did a lot of stitching on this one. The tag and all patterned paper is from K&Co. The lettering are thickers. The butterflies are also from K&Co. They were on a sheet of patterned paper and I cut them out for my own embellishment. I used the Home Accents cart to cut my flourish. I also included some brown dotted sheer ribbon and brown ric rac. Here is the layout:
My title for this layout was inspired from a song by Rascal Flatts. Then I listed things on the tag that my husband and I do each day. It reads:
*that we don't tell each other 'I Love You!!!!'
*that you let me know how important I am to you!
*that you don't make me laugh!
*that you don't kiss me and hold me while I fall to sleep!
*that I don't remind myself that I am hopelessly in love with you!
I love you sweetie, A
I made my own 'lace' by cutting a lace doily into eighth's and layering them.

beautiful page.
What a sweet layout, I love the all the brown!
This layout is gorgeous and I love all the details you put into it. Great song too!!! Thanks for playing with Unscripted Sketches :-)
That is such a neat idea; using the paper doilies as an embellishment. I am lovin' the paper choice as well.

Gorgeous Aymee! I love to see your romantic Lo's. Sounds like a beautiful relationship. Same way I feel about my hubby even after almost 34 years. I'm sure you'll be feeling the same after all that time. Hugs, D
WOW WOW WOW !!! Stunning LO Aymee.
Love Karen (UK) xxx
I love the colors on this LO and all the details. I really think the April Lace punch used around the paper finishes off the LO.
You never cease to amaze me with your stunning layouts! I am always so excited when I see that you've posted something new and can't wait to check it out. Thanks for your support and for playing along with us at US again this week! *hugs*
This is so pretty! By looking at the page at a glance, it looks so difficult, but you make it easier.
I noticed the ribbon thing you did....I love this technique.
Whoohoo!!
