Hey yall! I worked on some challenges for our March Birthday crop on Just Scrappin' tonite. Here is what I accomplished...
"A Wish Came True"
This layout is for Kerri's '...Blow Out the Candles' challenge. You were to follow the sketch given and scrap about a wish coming true. This layout is for my Daddy. The journaling reads: "The very first time my Daddy held Carter in his arms, I began to see a sparkle of sheer delight in his eyes. From that day on, the sparkle is always there. I know hat day a wish came true...the day he became a grandfather." I used the Storybook cartridge for the title, the medallions, the owl, and the flourishes. I used the Cuttlebug Paisley folder to emboss the flourishes. I also incorporated some stitching and distressing with ink. Here it is:
"Ridiculous"
This layout is for my mom's 'Send In The Clowns' challenge. You were to follow the sketch she gave and scrap about something funny. This was easy as pie for me. Carter is always doing something funny. In this picture, he had decided to put on my Daddy's hat, glasses, pullover shirt, and my Mom's shoes. He is so goofy! I cut the circles out using the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. I used the following embossing folders on the circles: Textile Texture, Houndstooth, Script, Spots-n-Dots, Paisley, and Distressed Stripes. Then I heat embossed 2 chipboard pieces using Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder in peeled paint. Here is this one:
Hope you have a wonderful day! Take care!
