Been makin' some cards today....

Hey yall! I've been making some cards today. I got 3 done, but one is for my DT next week. So I will have to wait to post it.

This first card is a birthday card. I used a new Cuttlebug Die I got called 'corset card.' Now, I love anything that has this type of look, but I want to play with this some and see what I can do. I want it to look more womanly. It needs some more curves. I want to try to get a 'Moulan Rouge' type of thing going on. Maybe even add some feathers. I think I will do that tonite. So not just thrilled with this one, but it gets another card done. I added some extra lace to the top and bottom of the die cut. I also added some eyelets and ribbon. I used the D'Vine Swirl folder on the bottom portion. I also used the Swiss Dot's folder. I did some stitching around the edge and used a vellum sentiment. Here is this one:

Next, I have been wanting to use these cute tree stamps that I got from SU. This originally set out to be a card for DT work, but I just was not feelin' it. So, it will be used elsewhere. I used the following embossing folders: Houndstooth, D'Vine Swirl, Swiss Dots, Distressed Stripes, and Spots-n-Dots. I used a SU wheel stamp for the tree border that is on the teal strip of paper. Here is this one:

Ok, I'm off to fix dinner and then try to make 0ne more card for the day. I want to try to get a sketch or 2 in too before the day is out. So we will see. Have a wonderful evening yall!

Great cards! That first one could be a man card! :) Love the use of so many cb folders. Both of the cards look really great! I have to do a card for 365 today and on the way home I was thinking of doing that lace up thing. I think I will since yours look so great! Thanks, once again, for the inspiration. Hugs....
