Happy Sunday everyone! How are you doing today? I'm doing great! Ready to start scrapping! But first, I wanted to share 2 projects I recently completed. I have been introduced to the world of acrylic! I love it! I bought a kit that was designed by our very own Cristal at Just Scrappin on Scrapbook Heaven. It was very affordable and you actually could do 2 projects with it. First, I did the acrylic LO. I am using this layout for not one, not two, but three challenges! Yay! Gotta love that!
Well, one of the challenges I am using this for was to let a holiday song inspire you. Well, one of my favorite songs to hear this time of year is "Mary, Did You Know?" If you have never heard this song, you should! It is beautiful! I have it by several artists on my blog. You can scroll down to the bottom and find it. I love it! It touches my heart. So I decided to let it inspire me on this layout. In 2006, Carter, his mommy, and his daddy all participated in the Christmas play at their church. They were Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. So I decided to use this picture for my layout. I really wanted the lyrics to the song on my layout, so I hand wrote them and included them too. Now, all the paper and embellishments that you see came in the kit. They were all so fun to work with. There were pretty papers, lace, ribbon, bling, press on's, chipboard snowflakes, stickles, etc. I used some of the press on's and a few of the pearls on my clear part of the layout. I hope you can see them. Then I added more embellishment on top of the paper. I also used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge punch for some more dimension. I do have one thing to say though, acrylic is hard to photograph!!! So I hope you can tell about. I am very proud of this layout. It touches my heart each time I see it and read the lyrics. I hope you will like it too.
Next, I did an acrylic mini album. The kit also came with a sheet of Hambly. If you don't know what this is, it is basically a clear 12x12 acylic sheet of scrapbook paper. So fun! It was divided into 4 sections. So I cut the sheet into 4th's to make the individual pages of my album. I think I will give this as a gift for Christmas to someone in my family this year. I used more embellishment and papers from the kit to decorate the album, that way the recipient just has to journal and add a few photo's of their choice. This really was so quick and easy to do. Cristal even produced a little video with her class that I watched to help me get going. But this really was so easy! Yall gotta try it!!! Here it is:
I appreciate each of you stopping by! I hope you all have had a great weekend and have a great week! Take care! Hugs!

Just Gorgeous Aymee!!
Love the lo!!! I like that song too. Its so hard to pick out what I like most about the lo. You have included so many eye-catching elements.
That book is nice too. That's a lot of work, so I hope the person who receives it will note all the time and effort on your part and be very appreciative.

as usual, beautiful work.
Those are awesome - I still havent played with my kit yet - been finishing up christmas gifts. I love what you did!!!
I love these!! The first one is a little hard to see (the acrylic part) in the pic, but the second one is perfect. I love them both. I haven't tried this yet. I've worked with transparancies, but no acrylic. I must try them now!
