Helmar Holiday Hop

Hi guys! Helmar USA DT Member, Aymee Gandy, here on this beautiful, but chilly Sunday and I would like to welcome you to my blog!!! I hope you are having a fabulous day so far! I am so excited today because we are kicking off the Helmar Holiday Hop! Yay!!! I've been waiting on this one for weeks and just can't wait to see all of the festive craftiness my fellow Helmar DT Members (and a few surprise guests artists) have in store for all of us! There are lots of yummy prizes to be given away so make sure you visit each blog on the hop AND leave a comment while you are there for a chance to WIN!!! Also, be sure to check out the Helmar Facebook page for even more chances to win! AND something I am particularly excited about...the Helmar UStream classes! You can check out the information for those HERE. So let's get to hoppin'!!!

If you are just joining us and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, go HERE to visit Tracy's blog.

Otherwise, if you have been hopping along with us, you should of arrived to my blog from Gayle Martin's blog.

For my project, I will be highlighting the following fabulous Helmar Adhesives:
For this hop, I have created a bit of holiday decor' to display in the dining room of my home. I love to make my own decorations for my home and this one was really so fun and easy to do! I have created a wall hanging that spells out the word 'Noel.' For my wall hanging, I first stopped by my local dollar store and picked up these awesome 6x6" wooden frames for drum roll please.....$1 each! You can't beat that, right?! I was so excited about that find. I love it when I can score a good deal. After I purchased them, I rushed right home to start on my project. I just could not wait to put my Helmar Adhesives into action on this one!

I started by decorating the inside of each frame. I chose some Christmas themed patterned paper from GCD Studios for the inside each frame, I adhered this patterned paper with my Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner. Next, I used my Cricut die cutting machine and cut out ovals for my letters to go onto. I embossed each of these ovals with the 'Snow' embossing folder using my Cuttlebug. Next, I added alphabet stickers from American Crafts. Next, I knew I wanted to attach my frames together to create a wall hanging. So I pulled some basic red grosgrain ribbon and used my Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach the frames together with strips of ribbon. I have to say that the Helmar 450 Quick Dry is one of my personal favorites to the Helmar line of products. It is quick drying and has a hold that can't be beat! I know I can count on it to keep my projects together. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Here is my wall hanging:
Also, I decided to add a small bow to each frame. To adhere these bows, I used Helmar Liquid Scrapdots...another product that I just cannot do without!

'N'
 'O'
 'E'
 'L'
I hope this project will inspire you to get crafty with those fabulous Helmar Adhesives! I promise this really was so affordable, fast, and fun! I love the way it looks in our dining room and I can't wait to make more of these as gifts for my friends and family this holiday season!

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my blog! I hope to see you again soon! AND have a Merry Christmas!!!

Up next on the hop...the very talented Erika!!!

Happy Hoppin'!!!
