Treasured Scrapbooking Reveals and Chirper Challenge #18

Hey yall! Well, June flew by and it's time for a new month. So that means reveals for Treasured Scrapbooking. If you can, do come on over and check out all the Design Teams wonderful reveals. Also, all the challenges go up today!!! So join us for the fun:

http://www.treasuredscrapbooking.com/forum/

First, this month I am doing our sketch for the monthly sketch challenge. I thought it would be fun to take those shaped papers of yours and use them in a unique way. So here is the sketch:

Here is the coordinating layout that was created from one of the Treasured Scrapbooking July kits. I turned the shaped paper at an angle and cut off the edges. I then used those edges as the four corners of my layout.

I took 2 patterned papers and weaved them for the middle strip of paper. I used the Fiskars Apron Lace punch as well.

Next, this layout is for my monthly challenge. My challenge is called 'Life's A Bowl Of Blueberries.' July is National Blueberry month. So for the challenge, you are to use the color blue and a circle or circles on your layout. Easy as pie! All the papers for this layout were pulled from the July kit at Treasured Scrapbooking. I also added some velvet trim and some twine. I pulled out my distresser too. I used a striped patterned paper and cut it to make my 'fence.'

Next, as a member of the DT, we are responsible for 2 layouts (1 with sketch) each month. The first is posted on the 1st of the month and the second is posted on the 15th of the month. So here is layout #1 and the coordinating sketch to go with...

Here is the layout. All papers and embellishments were pulled from the July Kit #2 at Treasured Scrapbooking. I used Printing Press for my ring and Plantin' Schoolbook for the green dotted circles.

Also, it's time to get chirpin' with us at the Chirper Challenge! If you do not know, this blog focuses on my favorite toy....the Cricut! Here is the link to the blog for ya:

http://chirperchallenge.blogspot.com/

For this challenge, we were asked to use the following:
-brads
-zig zag(s)
-the color brown

I used the following carts on this layout:
-Storybook
-Plantin' Schoolbook
-Home Accents
-Home Decor'

I used brads to hold my 'pleating' in place. I zig zagged my ribbon and used a zig zag stitch. I also used a brown patterned paper and brown solid cardstock. Here it is:

So come on over and show us what your Cricut can do! We'd love to see your beautiful creations!

Also, today is my big bro Tyler's birthday! I love you man and I miss you so much!!! I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!

As always, thanks for droppin' in! Have a wonderful week!

Aymee you amaze me! The weaving on the Bronzed Beauties layout is awesome. Love how you used non-traditional beach colors for the Just beachy layout and the fence is too cool. Your Blessing layout blows me away, every single detail is pefect and the colors are fab. I also really like how you were able to incorporate flowers into a boy page without making it girly. Your rising star layout is too adorable! Yellow is such a hard color for me but you make it look so good and I'm a sucker for stars so you know I love these ones ;)

Hugs!
