Hey everyone! Happy Mother's Day to all of you fabulous Mom's out there! I would personally like to wish my Mom, Carol, a very happy Mother's Day. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Mom. Not only is she my Mom, but she is my BFF! I love that she is always there and that we always have such a good time together! We have spent endless hours hanging out, scrapbooking, and giggling with one another. She holds a special place in my heart and I hope that she has a wonderful day! I only wish I could be there with her to share her special day! But I hope she knows she is loved!
Now, on to the scrappin'! Yesterday I shared with y'all a tag that I created from a tag swap I am in. Well, we are doing 2 sets of tags and today I worked on my second set. Mom and I scrapped together via Skype again and it was so fun! It's nice to have someone to chat with and ask their opinion while you scrap. My first tag, which is in the post below, was super cutesy. So for this set of tags, I wanted to go in a completely different direction. I was shooting for something more formal, more shabby chic. So here is what I came up with:
"Chandelier" Tag
Supplies Used
Cardstock: Core'dinations, The Paper Company, The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Ribbon: Offray
Lace Trim: source unkown (a fellow scrapper sent me each of these and I am not sure of the mft.)
Pearls: Queen & Co.
Staples: Swingline
Electronic Cutter, Cartridges: Cricut (Provo Craft). Tags, Bags, Boxes & More, Wall Decor' & More, Storybook
Electronic Cutting Software: Gypsy (Provo Craft)
This finished tag measures about 6"x3". I cut the tag shapes out using 'Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More.' The medallion shape was cut using 'Storybook,' and the chandelier (which is 3" tall) was cut from 'Wall Decor' & More.' I doubled up on the lace trims at the bottom. I adhered those with my 450. Love that stuff! I stapled on the ribbon at the top. I left the back of these tags blank so that the recipients could either write or stamp on them as they please for layouts, cards, or gift tags.
I used my Zap Dots to pop up this medallion with the chandelier on it for some added dimension.
Again, I made 10 of these babies for the swap. I am thinking I may use my 1 leftover tag on a card, or maybe on a gift. I hope the other swapee's will like these tags.
That is all for me today! I hope to get busy this week making some more layouts and cards. I'll be sure to post 'em as soon as I can!
As always, thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mom's!
Happy Scrappin'!
