Under The Boardwalk, Down By The Sea...

Hey y'all! I hope you are having a fabulous day! I have a new post going up over at the "She's A Sassy Lady" blog today that features some Momenta goodies and I wanted to share it with you here as well.

I don't know about you, but have you ever had one of those days when you sit and stare at blank paper in your scrapbooking room? This happened to me a few weeks ago when I created this project. I had been on a big sewing kick, working every single day, scrapbooking from dawn until dusk and all creative mojo was at rock bottom. So I started to dig through my Momenta supplies and kept going back to their flourish stickers. I just love their flourish stickers and all of a sudden an idea that I had seen a while back hit me...to use the flourish stickers as 'sea weed.' I had seen this idea from the talented Erin Morehouse. I have had the privilege to design with Erin on a couple of DT's and she is amazing! Her work always speaks to me. Check out her fish project HERE. I wanted to make sure I gave her proper credit for scraplifting her sea weed idea. Thanks Erin for the inspiration! You rock girlfriend!

Here is the card that I created...

This is a card in the shape of a fish bowl. The fish bowl is from the Create A Critter cartridge.
Aren't these stickers as cute as can be? The puffy stickers from Momenta are wonderful from dimension.
For the 'sand' in the bowl, I used some crinkle ribbon bunched up.
My sentiment stickers are also from Momenta and I added a bit of bling around the edge of the bowl.
For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment and added the word 'Friends' from the Life Is A Beach cartridge.

Hop on over!

For my project this week I have created a card. I used lots of Momenta goodies on this card...some yummy patterned paper and embellishments!  Here is what I came up with:

"Love You"

Momenta Supplies Used:
NC-1358 Mel Card Kit
ST-4973 Princess Clear Layered
ST-4725 FTBM Clear Layered
PA-2384 Chg Pyramid Pad

Other Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Stamp, Crinkle Ribbon: My Craft Spot
Ink: Stampin' Up!
Spray Ink: Maya Road
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Software: Cricut Gypsy
Cartridge: Create A Critter, Accent Essentials

To create my 'cloud' on this card, I bunched up some crinkle ribbon. For the bottom part of the cloud, I spritzed it with spray ink to provide a bit of dimension. Then I added another bunch of crinkle ribbon.
Love these patterned papers from Momenta!
Also a big fan of Momenta's clear layered stickers! They provide great dimension!
On this card I used the 'Sweet Sentiments #1' set from My Craft Spot.
Here is the inside of my card...
Thanks for dropping by my blog! I hope to see you over at MCS for the challenge! Have a great day!

Sewing Up A Storm

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! Sorry to not check in for so long. I have been as busy as a bee. I've been scrapping and sewing out the whazoo. I will be sharing all the scrappy stuff asap. We have a fun Stamp Release Party coming up at My Craft Spot and I created lots of goodies for that. But in the meantime, I wanted to share with you a couple of my newest sewing creations.

First, I made a new Ruff Ruff Ruffles Pantsuit for my Katie Scarlett. I wanted her to have a 'cowgirl' look! Tee hee! Here is what I came up with:
These fabrics were purchased at Joann.. The rose trim and ruffle trim was purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Brandon said she should be the newest spokesmodel for Chik-Fil-A! Tee hee!
Look at that little booty! Giggle!
These pantsuits do not have to be removed for potty time either. I mixed a pattern that I bought online with a Simplicity pattern to make this.
Next, I have created my first dog carrier purse. I used this OOP (out of print) Simplicity pattern.
And here is my finished bag. I bought the fabrics/trims for this bag at Hobby Lobby. The green zebra print is a heavyweight outdoor fabric.
These letters are Katie Scarlett's initials. I bought some SEI iron on paper at Hobby Lobby. I then used my Cricut and SCAL software to cut out the letters.
I added a bow to the flap. The flap is held shut with heavy duty Velcro.
Here is the inside of the bag. The inside fabric is a cotton fabric. The bottom of the bag is solid so KS can stand up and is removeable for washing.
The inside also has a clasp so that I can snap it onto KS's harness to keep her in this safely.
 Back of bag...
And here is KS in her new carrier! She loves it!
Thanks for dropping by! I'll see ya soon! Have a wonderful weekend!
