Two More Layouts From Weekend Crop

Hey everyone! Well, I finally finished up these last two layouts from the weekend crop. This first layout is of Carter playing T-Ball this past summer. I covered the white chipboard with red stickles. I also added some die cuts, which I chalked to look dirty. Here is this one:

Here is the second one. This picture cracks me up everytime I look at it. Carter wasn't even walking yet, but still always managed to get into mischief. Somehow he had managed to pull the cords out from behind the tv. Well, you can see how he reacts to being scolded. ROFLMBO!!! I also used my SU Spiral Punch on this one.

I Cropped My Little Heart Out!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Well, this weekend flew by for me! I cropped alot and got minimal sleep! LOL. First, I met one of my gf's (Michelle) on Friday night to scrap. She was just the sweetest thing ever! She has a beautiful home and we had a wonderful time. She also gave me lots of scrappy goodies.....we are talkin' a whole bag full. How nice of her was that to do!!! I can't wait to get together again. We met at 5 and scrapped until after 1 am. I finally got home and had to unpack/repack for my crop on Saturday. I bet I got like 30 min. of sleep! LOL. Then my gf Quake picked me up at 8 am on Saturday and we scrapped with the girls all day! I got home after 1 am. So I finally got some sleep! I did not wake up until 2 pm today! I slept like 12 hours! But I was dead to the world! But it was well worth it! I cropped my little heart out. But it was also so fun to scrap with others! I wanted to share the things I did. I only got 4 cards done on Friday night. We had chatted alot....but so fun. Then I got 6 layouts done on Saturday. I have to put some finishing touches on 2 of the layouts, so I will show the 4 I got done and post the other 2 on Monday. So here we go.

First, here are the layouts I did. This first layout is of me and my best friend, my mom, Carol. I scraplifted this idea out of Scrapbooks ETC magazine. I just loved the idea and had to give it a try. It is called "Things I love about us." I wrote the things I love most about our friendship on the leaves of the flowers. The 5 most favorite things are:

1. I love it when you call and we talk on the phone for hours!
2. I love it when we have girls night out with our friends!
3. I love it when we scrapook together for hours on end!
4. I love it when we veg all day in our jammies!
5. I love it when we get giddy and giggle together!

I use some new sparkly pink chipboard that I won for our recent crop on JS. Love it and all the other pink goodies I got. The girls know I love me some pink. I also used some ghost wings on the flower...a first for me. So here it is:



Next, I did a layout of Carter. This photo was taken this past summer. Again, another idea that I was inspired to do because of Scrapbooks ETC. I cut the tree out at 10" using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I then cut the owl and squirrel out with the Disney Happily Ever After cartridge. I ran the top portion of the owl through the Cuttlebug using D'vine Swirl for some dimension. I paper pieced together the 'shrooms and deer. I also tore some green cardstock for the grass at the bottom. I ran it through the Cuttlebug on Swiss Dots. I then ran the mat for the photo through the Cuttlebug using D'Vine Swirl. I cut the title, which is Explore, using the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. And finally, a little distressing on the photo frame. I love this layout. It is a different look for me and I like it. I definitely have to get the Stretch Your Imagination cart!!! My gf Quake had it and her new Cricut Expression at the crop. So fun. Here is the layout:

This next layout is of my nephew Carter. He played T-Ball for the first time this past summer. He was so cute out there with his little face! He squinted his eyes in the sunlight and I just love this photo!!! I used some chipboard for the title that Cristal sent me. I also incorporated some ribbon and some distressing. Here is this one:

Next, I did this layout of Carter and his daddy, my brother, Tyler. This one is called "Hop on Pop"....LOL! I just had to use that title! Cracks me up! I used the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge for this one. Another cartridge of Quakes that is now on my want list. I love it! I ran all the arrows and title through the Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots.

Ok, now for the cards that I did with Michelle on Friday night. These are all either Christmas or Thanksgiving. This first card is in non traditional Christmas colors that I am soooo in love with!!!

This one is a Thanksgiving card. I cut the turkey out with PDDU. I cut off the 'feathers' and replaced them with my own, which I made by folding scalloped circles, cut with the Cricut Storybook cartridge.

And last, a Christmas card. I used one of Michelle's snowmen stamps on this one.

Get Well Card and Cuttlebug Challenge # 5

Happy Halloween Eve!! Hope you all are ready for a great weekend! I have 2 crops to go to this weekend, so I am as happy as can be. I have been working on a few things this evening that I thought I'd share. This first card is for a friend on SAS named Kelly. Her FIL had surgery today and I wanted to send them a little card. Please keep their family in your prayers. This card was really easy. I used the gate fold cards that Ashley had made me. I ran the flaps through the Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots. Then I had bought this "Get Well Soon" index card at the sb store. So I just adhered it to the front. Here it is...excuse the carpet...LOL!


Then next, I completed 2 cards actually for this weeks Cuttlebug Challenges. I am just enjoying that blog soooo much! I highly recommend it to all of you Cuttlebug lovers. Each week they give us another great idea to use. They even had a cuttlebug camp this past weekend with all sorts of neat projects. I did not get to participate this time, but I want to do some of the projects. Some awesome stuff being done! Anyways, this weeks challenge was to use your cuttlebug on foil/metallic paper. Well, I did not have any of that, so I used the faux kind! LOL. I simple took some household kitchen aluminum foil and adhered it to basic cardstock with a craft glue stick. Let it dry and then run it through the cuttlebug and Voila'! You are done! So easy and so cost efficient!! Here is the first card I did. I used the Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy folder and cut out a scalloped oval with it.

Then I decided to make Brandon (my husband) a little Halloween card for tomorrow. A really simple one, not too much to it. I ran the faux foil paper through the Cuttlebug using the Spider web folder. I then ran a piece of black cardstock through with the Haunted House folder, cut it out, and adhered it down. Again, really simple.

Howdy Yall!

Howdy! I've been making tags today! I have done 10 so far, 5 of each, and wanted to share with yall as well. I love this ribbon!!! It reminds me of the ribbon you see on a cowboy's handkerchief. So cute! I used the cricut PDDU for the cowboy and cowgirl.

Then I also finished up this card. I started on it last night, but I had to let the stickles on the tree dry. So finished it up today. This is a gate fold card. I used my new Cricut Christmas Solutions cart for the tree. I ran the folds through the cuttlebug using the Script Folder.

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge 5

Happy day all! Hope you are having a great day!! It is really cold and windy here. Brrrr!!! I am trying to participate more in a new blog (or new to me that is) called The Cuttlebug Spot. This week's challenge was to choose your favorite folder and showcase it in a project. I am still working on Christmas cards, so I did another Christmas card. I could never ever pick one single favorite folder. I love them all. But I seem to go through spurts where I use one particular folder alot more. So my favorite here lately has been the D'Vine Swirl. I love it!!! So I incorporated it onto the front and inside of my card. I also used my new Cricut Christmas Solutions cartridge for the vintage looking sign. I stamped/embossed a "G" (for the first letter of my last name) on the sign with a filagree alpha stamp. I then attached a bow for some decoration on the sign. Thanks for looking! Hey all! I finished up this last card a while ago and wanted to share. I think this will be all for me today. I'm worn out! LOL. I used the cricut JOTS cart for the fireplace, stockings, and topiaries. Then I used the cricut PDDU for the Santa that is coming down the chimney. I stamped the image above the fireplace. 2 Christmas Cards

Just another manic Monday....ya singin' it yet? LOL. Hope all of you are off to a great week so far. I just finished up these 2 Christmas card for a fun little crop I'm hosting on SAS. I used the JOTS cart for each of these along with some cuttlebug embossing folders. I also pulled out my fave...STICKLES, and used those as well. Thanks for looking!

Another Thanksgiving Card

Hey yall! I just did this Thanksgiving card. The paper doll is from the cricut PDDU cart. I also used the Pumpkin Harvest Embossing folder. Then on the inside, I scraplifted the idea for the turkey from Ashley. She sent me the cutest little card. I just had to figure out how to do it. Mine is a little different. I found a scalloped circle on my storybook cart and cut it out in orange, brown, and green for the feathers. You just fold the scallpoped circle a certain way and voila'...feathers. Then I cut out the turkey from the PDDU cart, cut just the body out, and shaded with some chalk. I also used my MS Pumpkin Embossing border punch. Thanks for looking!

A Few Cards

Hello all! It's been a lazy Sunday for me! But good to relax. I did finish up 3 cards last night though that I thought I'd share. I am hosting a new Christmas Card Crop on SAS. So will be doing alot of cards for a bit. Looking forward to it though. These first 2 cards are Christmas cards. I used my new SU stamps that I just got. On the first one, I did a technique I've never done before...which was to sand the paper after running it through your cuttlebug, so that was fun! Then I also did 1 Thanksgiving card. I used the Cricut PDDU for the little pilgrim. I also used the CB Houndstooth EB folder on it. Thanks for looking! Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Cuttlebug Challenge # 4

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend! I just finished up my card for this week's Cuttlebug Challenge. The challenge this week was to emboss on patterned paper. I decided to go ahead and get started on my Thanksgiving cards. I chose to use the Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder. I embossed it onto patterned paper that has thanksgiving words on it. I then took my Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Peeled paint and ran over the top of it so that it would show better. I also incorporated ribbon, a safety pin, and a little pumpkin charm. I also decorated the inside. Then last, I embossed again on some leftover patterned paper with the To/From "Created for you with love" folder. I also ran the TH ink over it. Thanks for looking!
