Berry Bleu DT Reveal

Hey y'all! I hope you are having a fabulous day! I have a quick little project to share with you today. We at Berry Bleu are debuting our first design team projects for the month of December. If you are not familiar with Berry Bleu, you can check it out by going HERE. The owner of Berry Bleu, Marivic, makes the most gorgeous tags! Her work is really phenomenal!

Of course for the month of December, Marivic sent us some festive holiday tags to work with. For my first project, I wanted to make a little something for my scrapbooking desk. I decorate the rest of my home and want the holiday cheer to be displayed in my crafting area as well. So what I did was take an old 'Crystal Light' drink mix container and alter it up. I actually have a cute story behind this container. My husband drinks Crystal Light and one day this past summer he was getting the last packet out of the container while I was working at my desk. He walked over and said 'Look honey, you could so alter this.' LOL! So I put it back and sure enough, it provided a wonderful opportunity to recycle and jazz up! Gotta love him! Due to the odd shape of the container, I was unable to wrap patterned paper around it like I had originally planned. So I went digging in my scrapbook supplies and found some leftover Artisan Tape from Pink Paislee and used it to add a pattern to my container. I then let Marivic's tag stand front and center on my project. I didn't add much more besides a flower and some trim. I now have this sitting on my desk for a few of my crafty tools.

Altered Tin Tart Banner

Hey Y'all! Happy Saturday to you! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend! I'm here with you on this chilly day to share an altered project I have created for my holiday home using goodies from Momenta. I have created a banner out of tin tart pans that you can find in any craft store. These little tins are used with candles and come in an array of sizes, shapes, and colors. They are so fun to work with and affordable! I plan on hanging this banner on my front door for the month of December/January. I used the tins to spell our our last name. Here is what I will be sharing with you...

 Here is what the tins looked like direct from the store. I purchased these at a local discount store for $1 a piece, so really inexpensive.

 Next, I picked out some winter time patterned paper from Momenta and coordinating cardstock. Although we do have a glass/screen door protecting our wooden front door where I will hang this banner, I wanted to make sure that the paper I used would stay safe in the outdoor elements. So I used my laminator to laminate the patterned paper and the cardstock to seal it.

  I used my circle cutter to cut the laminated sheets of patterned paper/cardstock into circles for the center of my tin tart pans.

I used a strong liquid adhesive to adhere my circles onto the pans. I then embellished them with stickers. After I finished my embellishing, I used my Crop-A-Dile tool to punch a hole in each side as shown below:

 I used ribbon to string the tin tart pans together and voila'! A personalized decoration for our home!

  I love the paint effect these pans came in. It added so much color/texture to the project and I didn't have to do anything. I used the Momenta Crimped Red Alphabet Stickers to spell out our last name to mimic the crimped edges of the pans.

 Aren't these shiny crimped alphabet stickers from Momenta great?! I absolutely love 'em!

 I used an assortment of Momenta B&B Stickers to jazz up some plain chipboard mitten stickers.

In The Trenches

Hey guys! I just had to hop online and share these pix of my baby girl, Katie Scarlett. We went to a new park today so I put her First Lady Trench Coat on her. She was so adorable and everyone just had a fit over her! I love this pup! She's my little diva!

I have a new scrappy project going up tomorrow, so stay tuned! And I hope to scrap all day tomorrow! I'll post what I get done! Sorry to be MIA on the craftyness lately! Me and the pup have too much fun and we get sidetracked! LOL

Rub A Dub Dub

Hey y'all! Mommy washied my hairs today! I wuz such a good girl. However, Mommy wuz having to do the job by herself...a first since Daddy wuz gone to get groceries. Shes did a wonderful job, but I moved my head at the wrong time and Mommy accidently sprayed the tops of my head with the spray thingie. Thank goodness Mommy is so good and had cotton in my earsies. But I took it all in stride and Mommy came to my rescue with lots of love and dries off my head, but not before Daddy walks in at the perfect time to snap a pic. Can you believe they giggled at me? The injustice! But I was a big girl and let Mommy finish. After bathies, she dried me off really good and fixed my hairs. We then put on my sweater for the day. I feel so good and you should smells me! I'm ready to strut my stuff. Mommy says we should share pix of our morning. I am gonna go to sleep and rest before our walksie in the park.

My Craft Spot Challenge #35-Christmas Through The Window

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and Thanksgiving holiday! Did you enjoy time with family and friends? The hubby and I were unable to make it home to Alabama for the holidays so we had a little celebration here. It was so much fun! I cooked a mini Thanksgiving dinner and was quite surprised that it turned out half decent. Nothing like Mom's cooking, but it was festive. LOL.

Anyways, it's Monday and that means we have another fun challenge for you at My Craft Spot! This weeks challenge is called 'Christmas Through the Window.' We are creating window cards and they must be themed in Christmas. Window cards are so easy to create and a change up from the norm. For my project, I have created a window card using my Cricut Gypsy. I love the Gypsy for window cards. It really makes them fast and easy to design/cut. For the base of my card, I used a shape I found on the 'Blackletter' cartridge. It already had a diagonal window cut into it, so it made it easy on me.

 This stamped sentiment is from the 'Jingle All the Way' stamp set at My Craft Spot. The shape that I stamped it on is from the 'Joys of the Season' Cricut cartridge.

 Isn't this little reindeer cut from 'Create A Critter' so adorable?! I used some twine bows to jazz it up a tad. For the nose, I used a pearl embellishment.

 Not sure if you can tell, but I used pop dots to pop up the reindeer shape on my card front. Also for the top brown layer of the cut, I did not apply adhesive to the backs of the ears and the tail. This allowed me to curl them up a tad for that little extra dimension.

 Since it is a window card and I wanted my coordinating patterned paper to shine on the inside, I used the back of the card for my other sentiment and where I will write my holiday wishes to the recipient. The stamped sentiment is from the 'Merry Christmas' stamp set at My Craft Spot.

For this card, I used goodies found in the November Deal of the Month from Creative Charms. I created a 'Christmas Tree' with the brads. This card will definitely be sent to a fellow scrappy pal. I figured the scrapbooker could easily deconstruct this card and re-use the fabulous brads from Creative Charms on a project of their own. So there is a 'gift' so to speak within the card.

My Craft Spot Challenge #33-Easel Cards

Hey guys! Happy Monday to you all! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! My Mom and Daddy came up for a visit and we all had a ball! They just adored Katie Scarlett and she fell in love with them. We all went out and about shopping. We had a great time and found some awesome buys. Then on Saturday, Mom and I scrapped the day away. That was the best part! I was so sad to see them go though! But, Christmas will be here before we know it and I'll get to see them again.

Anyways, today we have a new challenge for you at My Craft Spot! This weeks challenge is on easel cards. I adore easel cards! They are so easy to do! If you would like to join us for this challenge, hop on over to the blog HERE for all the details. There is a prize up for grabs! Woot woot! Also, if you are new to easel cards and not sure how to create them, I thought I would post a link for you to learn. There is a great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers on these easel cards and you can find that HERE.

 Remember, easel cards can be done as big or as small as you would like, so feel free to change the dimensions on the tutorial to suit your needs. For example, I wanted a bigger card, so I went with a 6x6" easel card. For my base, I cut a piece of cardstock to 6x12". I then scored on the 6" and 3" marks. For the 'card front,' I used a 6x6" piece of cardstock.

For my card, I decided to go with a Thanksgiving theme. The holiday is right around the corner and I thought I would send this over to some nice neighbors of ours. On this card I tried to do something a little different with the crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot. I used the crinkle ribbon to create the 'plumage' on my turkey.

 I was trying to glam up my turkey a bit since I love girly girl stuff and then it hit me....turkeys, or ones like this with their plumage all puffed out are boys! LOL! So my turkey has a little sassyness to him! Tee hee!

 For the plumage, I took strips of the crinkle ribbon and folded them in half. I then adhered them to the back of my Cricut cut turkey base piece. I tried to layer them to resemble feathers. I used an assortment of colors of the crinkle ribbon to achieve the look.

 The 'turkey time' stamp from My Craft Spot was just what I needed for my card! I love Kimberly's stamps!

First Night of Puppy Kindergarten

Hey guys! I just had to share...Katie Scarlett had her first training class tonite at puppy kindergarten! She was a bit timid, but did really good with the training part. Hopefully next week she will warm up to the other doggies more. I just wanted to share the pic I snapped of my baby girl! Mommy is so proud of her!

It's A Boy

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you enjoy it? I sure hope so! We went on a little mini trip...just me, the hubby, and Katie Scarlett. We had a ball! She loved the open road! I tell ya, this puppy has made our lives so wonderful! She is amazing and keeps us laughing all the time! We are so blessed that she is in our lives!

Speaking of being blessed, y'all remember how I told you I was going to be an aunt again?!! Well, we found out it is a boy!!! I am so thrilled for my brother and his wife. I have been trying to send them cards and make them a few things. So, this past week I sat down with my Momenta goodies to make her a banner. I thought she could display this on the door at the hospital, at their home, or use as a shower decoration. I sure hope she will like it. I tried to keep it more on the simple end and boy'ish. I also created this for my Momenta DT blog posting. I also laminated the banner to help protect it, hence the glare on the photo. It was a gloomy day when I shot these pix. I hope you can tell about it.

I used my Sure Cuts A Lot Software to design this card. The base shape of the card is from a SVG at My Scrap Chick. I stamped my sentiment from the stamp set to the center of the card. I then added a brad/twine technique for a simple embellishment. With the card shape being so elegant, I wanted to keep the center more simpler so that the sentiment would really pop. I also went with more non-traditional Christmas colors on the majority of the card. I did this so that the twine would be a splash of Christmas color.

 Love this sentiment from the stamp set! I twisted the twine around some vintage brads from Creative Charms.

 I also used a stamp from the same set to stamp the inside of the card.

Have to say...I adore this frame I picked up at Hobby Lobby! It is gorgeous and was 50% off! It just shimmers in the light and I can't wait to either display it in my home or give it as a gift.

 I stamped my sentiment from the new stamp set on my snowman. I added a bit of cotton for some 'snow.'

 I added a mixture of rhinestones and pearls for a bit of shimmer.
