ScrapFIT & Treasured Scrapbooking Reveals

Mornin' Yall! How are ya today? I hope you are all doing well! I have some new schtuff to share with ya today.

First, we have a new challenge for ya at ScrapFIT. For this challenge we are scrapping a recipe. I decided to scrap one of our family favorites...red velvet cake. Yummy!!!! For my page, I used a combo of Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon paper. The green decoration that you see is a sticker by Basic Grey. The lettering is from Doodlebug Designs. The 'Home' that you see sticking out from the photo is a Jenni Bowlin bingo card. I wrote my recipe on a Jenni Bowlin journaling card. I did not want to adhere it down in case future generations might want to pull it out to use it when baking the cake. So I used some photo anchors (turnmounts) to hold it down. That way, when you want to use it, you just move the photo anchors and pull it out. Then you can put it back when you are done. I also brought in some ribbon (Basic Grey), tulle, and twine, a flower, stitching, and some cardboard. I used my Cricut to cut out a medallion shape. I used it as a guide to trace on my paper since I only needed one side. Here is my page....

"Scrumptious"

If you would like to join us for this challenge, and to see the other DT's fabulous projects, go here...

Also, as always, on the 15th I have my second reveals for Treasured Scrapbooking. I was assigned to kit#1 this month and love love LOVE it!!! It is filled with all sorts of awesome scrappy goodness!!! Pick one up today!!!

First, here is my second layout for the month of November using the kit. I used my Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) software for the medallion shaped papers. This is Carter and one of his little buddies, Carly...she is so cute!!!

"It Must Be Love"

Next, for my altered project this month I created a cascading paper bag album. I was croppin' with my gal pal, Michele, and she happened to show me a paper bag album she had created. She is always so inspiring!!! So I decided I had to make one too. This is my first paper bag album, but will not be my last!!! This was so easy and fun to make!! Here is the link to the instructions that I used...

I made this book for my bff, my Mom. I tried to go with a coffee theme. We are both big coffee lovers. I cut the title 'I Love You A Latte' out using my cricut. The coffee beans and coffee cup are from a Sizzlits die. Everything else, minus the bags and Bind It All rings, was pulled from Kit #1 at Treasured Scrapbooking.

Here is the view from the front of the album...
The open ends of my paper bag are on pages 2 and 4. So for page 2, I tucked a little tag inside that can be pulled out. I wrote my Mom a message on it. I pulled it out a tad so you can see.
Page 3....isn't my Mom a cutie?? She is the blond. Now if I only could of inherited her skinny body frame!! LOL

Page 4...I left this one blank so my Mom could add her favorite picture(s) of us. The fourth page has a pocket too and inside I tucked a little surprise for my Mom. Included in the kit is a datebook that you can alter up. So I added some coordinating cardstock, a rub on, and used the chipboard alpha's to add her name. My Mom always carries a datebook, so I think she will love this. I pulled it out just a bit so you can see....

Here is the datebook pulled all the way out....

That is all for me today. I want to thank you for taking a moment to stop by my blog today. I hope you all have a wonderful day and Happy Scrappin'! See you soon!

A Thanksgiving Card

Mornin' Yall! How are you? I hope you are having a great day! I wanted to share a card with you today. We are still croppin' over at Treasured Scrapbooking. I did this card for a challenge that required you to use punches. I used 3 different punches:
1. Martha Stewart Lace Doily Border Punch
2. Martha Stewart Thanksgiving Table Border Punch
3. EK Success Decorative Corner Punch
The pilgrim outfit is a sticker by Jolee's that I've had for a long time. I'm glad I finally got to use it. The 'Happy Thanksgiving' is a stamp from the $2 bin at AC Moore. I also brought in some bling (Glitz), buttons (American Crafts), Stickles (Ranger), a cupcake liner, and some green lace. Here it is....

To show some dimension....

If you would like to, we'd love for you to come crop with us!!! Here is the link for you....

I've Fallen For You

Mornin' Yall! I have a layout to share with you this morning. This page is doing some double duty. I am using it for a crop challenge for our 'Cha-Cha-Changes Crop' over at Treasured Scrapbooking and for some DT work for Tallyscrappers using the November Kit. This kit is so awesome!! Perfect for fall! But what makes it better than any other is the embellishments! It is chock full of Prima goodies...flowers, bling, pearls, alphas, etc. Love it!!! If you are interested in the kit, go here:

http://www.tallyscrapper.com/s/monthly-kit/reflections/4194.php

For the price, you cannot beat it!!! Fabulous!

I used my Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) software for the large medallion shaped paper and the word 'fallen.' I used Home Accents for the shape that the title is on. Everything else you see is from the kit. The green paper that you see at the bottom is actually some of the packaging that the Prima flowers came in. Talk about fun...even the packaging is fun in that kit! This page is of my nephew, Carter. I fell in love with him the day he was born. I always hope he will know what a special place he has in Aunt Mamie's heart. We are good buddies.

"I've Fallen For You"

Oooh, and check this out...the yellow lettering that you see (which are Prima) come with pearls AND crystal bling on the sheet with the alphas!!! I used some of the pearls here.

This felt embellishment is hand made by one of our fell0w Tallyscrappers and is also in the kit.

So can ya tell how much I loved the kit! Tee Hee! Scoop yours up today before they are gone!
Also, be sure to hop on over to Treasured Scrapbooking and join us for our crop! So many awesome, unique challenges!!!
Thanks for stoppin' by! Have a great day!!!!

www.practicalscrappers.com

This week's challenge is focusing on using a fun, new product....colored core cardstock!!! I picked up some of this wonderful cardstock at my local Joann's. The brand that I used is called 'Core'dinations.' It is one color on the outside and when you tear into it, it shows a different color. How fun is that! You can also sand this stuff for a super cool look!

Here is the layout I created for the challenge. This is my hubby, Brandon, and his bro, Justin, in Philly this past summer. I used the October card kit from Treasured Scrapbooking for this page. If you can, go on over and check out this kit! If you decide to puchase it, you will not be sorry! It is so inexpensive (under $20) and PACKED FULL of so much awesome scrappy goodness! The embellishments, chipboard alphas, ribbon, felt embellishment, paper, etc. are just awesome!!!!!! Here is my page...

'Brotherly Love'

I created my card while croppin' with one of my best gal pals, Michele. She has the Cricut 'A Child's Year' cartridge and I used it to cut the silhouettes of the Pilgrims. I now know that I have to have that cartrige too!!! Love it! I used the same cartridge to cut the 'We Give Thanks', as well as the actual shaped card. So that cart is full of goodies!!! I added some bling and some ribbon. Here is the card...

For my challenge, I am challenging you to make a Thanksgiving card. It's the perfect time to make those cards and get them sent out to your family/friends!!! Here is my example for you. I made this card this past weekend while croppin' with Michele. I used her Winter Woodland cartridge for the squirrel. Another cartridge I need!!! LOL. I embossed with the a Quickutz embossing folder. The alphas are Jenni Bowlin. Isn't this squirrel the cutest??!! I thought it looked like he was handing you the acorn....like a gesture of saying 'thanks.'

For my project this week, I used my Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) software to make a pear shaped card. I created this pear SVG file and it can be found on my SVG blog if you are interested. Just look to the right on my blog and you will see a link to that. I used the 'Victoria' embossing folder on the pear. I also added some ribbon that my Mom had sent me. It reads...."We make a perfect 'pear'!" on the inside. Here it is.....

Come on over and join us!!!
As always, thanks for stopping by my blog today! Take care and Happy Scrappin'!

It's A Girl

It's A Girl! No! Not for me....but I wish! Tee Hee! I have another Cuts 2 Die 4 project to share with you today. I used the 'Little Bo Peep' Silhouette cut to create this door sign. I cut the silhouette out using some blue patterned paper. I then cut out the silhouette with the 'shadow' function on in my SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) with some chipboard and then again twice with some brown cardstock. I used my Crop A Dile to punch a hole and thread some tulle through for the hanger. I added some Making Memories Chipboard and Pink Paislee alpha stickers for the title. Here it is...

The hanging portion is about 6", but I tucked it behind the sign for the picture.

If you would like to purchase this file, here is the direct link for you....

Survivor Sunday

Hey yall! Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend! Today I wanted to share my projects for this week's Survivor challenge at Tallyscrappers. I used the Treasured Scrapbooking October Card Kit for this page. This week we had to create a layout that was a size other than 12x12. It is an 8x8 page with the die cut paper added to the bottom, but I think I will adhere this to a 12x12 piece of solid cardstock before adding it to an album. Here is the page...

'Livvy'

Also, since I missed last week's challenge (was overloaded and missed it), I had to do a makeup. The makeup this week was to make a card using your scraps from your page. So I made a little 4x4 notecard with my scraps. I thought this would be good tucked inside a gift or something.
That's all from me today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Scrappin'! As always, thanks for stopping by!!!

A Dress For Brewing Up A Mess

I know! I know! You are thinking...has Aymee gone nuts? Halloween is so over!!! LOL! But I guess it's never too early to get started for next year, right?! Tee Hee! But really, this project is for Cuts 2 Die 4. As I had mentioned previously, this is a new online store for SVG downloads that are used with the Sure Cuts A Lot Software. This sofware is for use with your Cricut Die Cutting machine. I love me some SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot.) I will be sharing projects that I have created using their cuts on a regular basis with you. Since the store is newer, there are not too many files, but never fear....there is so much awesome stuff in store. I will be here to share it with you too!!! Yay! For my first project to share with you, I used a file called 'Vampire Vixen' to make a shaped card. I just loved the dress with this cut! It is right up my alley. Now, this file is located under 'Halloween,' but the dress could be used for any occasion. I added some bling, toile, and pins. Here it is....

Here is the link to where you can purchase this file at Cuts 2 Die 4. Their prices rock too!!!
Thank you, as always, for taking the time to visit my blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day and see you again soon!!!!
