Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Hey guys! Happy Hump Day! We are at the mid-way mark with our Christmas/Winter Stamp Release Party at My Craft Spot. Today, we are revealing the new "'Tis The Season" stamp set. This stamp set has some super cute sentiments on it! If you'd like to check out the stamp set, the DT's projects, AND a chance at a prize, go HERE to visit the blog.

With this stamp set, I decided to create a card. I used my Cricut, Gypsy, and the 'Trim the Tree' cartridge to design the card base. I must say that this card base is one of the trickier cuts I have ever attempted with my Cricut. It took me a while to cut the red top layer and remove it from the mat properly, but it was fun to cut! On this card I also wanted to try something a little different using the crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot. So I created a fabric/texture effect with it. I took the negative center piece leftover from cutting the red top layer on my card. I applied adhesive to the entire negative piece and then I layered strips of crinkle ribbon over the top. I trimmed up the edges and voila'...a easy way to add some texture to the project. I will definitely try this again! So fun!

Love this sentiment from the stamp set! I also stamped on the stars. I hope you can tell a little about the crinkle ribbon technique I used also.
