A Witches 'Brew'

Hey guys! Happy Thursday! How is your week going so far? I hope you are having a grand week! I have been busy at my desk all week but unable to share the projects I made just yet as they are for future DT work. But I promise, they will debut soon! But, I did take a minute today to sit down and create a little card I've had tossing around in my head for a bit. I was first inspired to make this card by some ADORABLE clip art I purchased from My Grafico called 'Creepy Cocktails.' This set was created by JW Illustrations and you can see that by clicking HERE. Be sure you check it out as it is just too cute to miss!

I just loved this set the minute I saw it. I only wish they would have it available in SVG format so I could cut it with my Cricut instead of printing it on my computer. But I went ahead and purchased it anyway and as soon as I pick up some fresh ink for my printer I plan on making some cards using this adorable clip art. However, in the meantime, I just could not wait that long and had to figure out how to make a similar version using my Cricut Gypsy. My version is no where near as cute as the ones by JW Illustrations, but I had a lot of fun making this card.

"Witches Brew" Card

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Core'dinations, The Paper Company
Patterned Paper: Die Cuts With A View
Rhinestones: Queen & Co
Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko)
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Cartridges: Christmas Cards, Simply Charmed, Mini Monsters, Forever Young
Software: Cricut Gyspy (Provo Craft)
Adhesive: Helmar

For my card, I used the 'Simply Charmed' cartridge for my glass. For the witches legs, I used the heeled boot from 'Forever Young' and turned them upside down. I cut out the base part of the boot twice, once in green and once in purple. I then cut the purple into strips to create the striped sock look. The witches legs are meant to look like they are sticking up out of the bubbly 'brew.' The witches hat is from 'Mini Monsters' and the card base is from 'Christmas Cards.'
I used Zap Dots to pop up some of the pieces for added dimension.
I think I'll head on over to the "She's A Sassy Lady" blog and enter this in the current 'Gypsy Made Simple' challenge. I hope you have enjoyed this card. Very simple and very quick if you would like to re-create!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy Scrappin'!

I tried to buy it last night via my phone because we were on the boat fishing until 9pm which is like 12:00am Mainland time and it wouldn't let me! I am on a mission now because I know there has to be a way to convert the file. I will let you know as soon as I buy it and convert! Lenae
