What's Cookin', Good Lookin'?!!!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday to ya! I hope you are having a fabulous day! I have been working on recipe cards this week for a recipe swap I'm in. I finally finished those up this morning. I never thought it would take me all week to finish 4 sets of recipe cards. I am really glad to be done. It was a labor of love, but I'm ready to make some layouts or cards or something. LOL. I shared my first recipe card earlier in the week. It can be found 2 posts below this one if you want to see that. Here are the other 3 sets...

"Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps" Recipe Card

Supplies Used
Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Brads: The Paper Studio
Felt Trim: Michael's
Adhesive: Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Recipe: Paula Deen

This is one of my family's favorite recipes that I make. I saw it on Paula Deen's cooking show a few years ago and have been making it ever since. It is heavenly! Perfect for dinner or a party! We love 'em! Since this is more of a summer type of recipe (although I am guilty of making it all year long), I decided to use some Hawaiian themed papers on this one.
I got this trim in the $1 bin at Michael's a few years ago. What a deal! I got blue, pink, purple, and yellow. I wish I would of gotten the green too! LOL
"Thanksgiving Chocolate Pecan Pie" Recipe Card

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Sassafras
Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio, Die Cuts With A View
Transparency: McGraw
Rhinestones: Queen & Co
Stamp: Peachy Keen
Ink: ColorBox (Clearsnap)
Electronic Cutter: Cricut (Provo Craft)
Electronic Cutter Software: Sure Cuts A Lot (Craft Edge)
SVG's: Treasure Box Designs
Font: Allison's Hand
Embossing Machine, Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug (Provo Craft), Swiss Dots
Adhesive: Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, Helmar Zap Dots, ZIG Glue Pen
Recipe: Gina & Pat Neely

This recipe is one that I have had in my recipe stash for a while now, but I haven't had the opportunity to make it yet. But I plan on making this as soon as we have another family get together. I saw it on The Neely's cooking show on Food Network and it looked all southern, all delicious! I can't wait to try it! And it looks really easy!
Isn't this turkey a hoot? He (and the pie) are files from Treasure Box Designs. He is sitting in a little cooking pot holding up a sign that says 'eat pie!' I printed the 'eat pie' out onto transparency sheets since I was out of vellum and then I adhered it onto the sign. I popped him and the pie up with some Zap Dots. This turkey gave me and the hubby the giggles! LOL!
 "Cajun Chicken Pasta" Recipe Card

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Core'dinations
Patterned Paper, Artisan Tape: Pink Paislee
Flowers: Imaginisce
Rhinestones: Queen & Co
Buttons: The Paper Studio
Corner/Border Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts
Adhesive: Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, homemade glue dots

This recipe is another hit in my family. Each time I make it, everyone raves about it. Now it is not something you would want to make often if you are watching the waistline, but it is a real treat when you want to spoil yourself. It does have a spicy quality to it, but you can cut back on the Cajun seasoning if you don't like too much heat. My hubby and I like a lot of heat, but when I make this for my parents, I cut back on the heat since they are not as crazy about spicy. But it is fabulous either way. This with a nice salad and some bread makes a fancy, wonderful meal!
The hounds tooth check is Artisan tape from Pink Paislee.
And there are my recipe cards. I gotta get 'em bagged up and ready to send out. If any of you would like any of the recipes I've mentioned on my blog today or from earlier in the week, shoot me an email at aymee810@yahoo.com and I'll be more than happy to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a fabulous day!
I'm off to make some cards! Yippee! See you soon!
Happy Scrappin'!!!

I just love these recipe cards, but I am curious how do you store them Aymee. Are they in book form or do you use a recipe box of sorts? They are just lovely.

Thank you ladies!

Sheila...these are 6x6 inch recipe cards. They are made to go in your basic 6x6 scrapbooking album that you can find at any craft store. They are usually pretty inexpensive. You can get them as ornate or as plain as you'd like. The albums are just like a 12x12 album, only smaller. Of course they have page protectors with them so that you can slide these cards down into the page protectors to protect the recipe.
