Step Right Up

Hey guys! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I have a DT post going up at "She's A Sassy Lady" and wanted to share my project with you guys here as well. As many of you already know, my Mom (and BFF!!!) is a 5th grade teacher at our local elementary school. I know I'm biased, but she is the BEST teacher! She really loves her job and you can tell it is her calling in this life. She has such a passion for educating and she comes up with some of the neatest things for the kids to do to help them learn the various subjects.

Anyways, each year she decorates her classroom in a different theme. This year she decided she wants to do a 'Circus' theme with bright, bold primary colors. So of course I had to volunteer to help her make a few projects for her room. Here is what I came up with:

"Welcome" Banner

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper: Momenta
Ribbon: source unknown (picked this up at a local discount store)
Brads: The Paper Studio
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Cartridge: Cricut Lite Carousel
Software: Cricut Gypsy (Provo Craft)
Laminator/Laminating Pockets: Purple Cows
Adhesive: Helmar

Instead of the normal pennant shaped banner pieces I go for, I used the ticket cut from the Carousel cartridge for the banner pieces. Since this will be displayed above her door all year long, I laminated the banner pieces and the letters to protect them.
(to see bigger, click on the picture and then hit the back button to return to this post)
I used Zap Dots to pop up the letters for more dimension. I adhered the ribbon with Liquid Scrap Dots.
Isn't this ribbon yummy?!!! I wish I would've bought more! It reminds me of the circus tent top.
 "Boy/Girl Restroom/Hall Passes"

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper: Momenta
Ribbon: source unknown
Brads: The Paper Studio
Staples: Swingline
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Cartridge: Birthday Cakes
Software: Cricut Gypsy (Provo Craft)
Laminator/Laminating Pockets: Purple Cows
Adhesive: Helmar

Here is the boys pass...
 And the girls pass...
 "Altered Circus Themed Hand Sanitizer"

Supplies Used
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper: Momenta
Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts
Ribbon: American Crafts, Offray
Button: The Paper Studio
Glitter Glue: Stickles (Ranger Industries), Fruit Punch
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Cartridge: Birthday Cakes
Software: Cricut Gypsy (Provo Craft)
Adhesive: Helmar
Hand Sanitizer: Germ-X
That is all for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
See you soon and thanks for dropping by!
Happy Scrappin'!

Thank you ladies!

Scrappingwest...I do believe that is exactly the same thing. It'd be a little bit higher, but if I could catch it on sale, it would be perfect!!!! Thank you so much! I plan on going to HL this weekend to pick up some cardstock and I will have to scoop up some of that ribbon too! :)
