Affectionate About Altering

Hey y'all! Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I have a new blog post going up on the Momenta Blog today and I thought I'd share my projects with you here as well. I created 2 altered projects for today's post. Each of these projects are for my BFF, my Mom, Carol. I always enjoy making little gifts for her!

Altered "Animal Print Boxed Card Set"

Supplies Used
Boxed Card Set, Patterned Paper, Stickers, Bling: Momenta
Cardstock: Momenta, The Paper Studio
Ribbon: Offray
Adhesive: Helmar

Have you seen the adorable 'Boxed Card Sets' from Momenta? Oh my! They are so super cute! Each set comes with 12 cards/envelopes, stickers, cardstock borders, and bling all in a neat little box! They are so cute and so alterable! When I saw this animal print one, I had to alter it up for my Mom. We both love bold prints and I hope she will enjoy this in her scrappy studio. She is always telling me how she needs cards. So with this she can jazz up a card in a jiff to send out.
See all the goodies that come inside?! Yum! There are 4 different patterns on the cards. There is a pink zebra print, a black zebra print, a pink cheetah print, and a gold leopard print. And the envelopes are PINK! My favorite color!!! Then when you have used up all the cards, you are left with a sturdy little box!
Next up, I altered a little frame for Mom. As many of you may know, Mom teaches 5th grade. This year she has decided to decorate her classroom in a circus theme. How cute will that be!!! She decorates her room a little different each year and I always enjoy helping her create projects for the classroom. I thought a monogrammed frame would look nice on her desk. So, I found this frame at a local dollar store and altered it up. I did not care for the pattern on the frame so I took some chipboard, used the frame as a template, and traced onto some chipboard. I then covered the chipboard with patterned paper and adhered that over the frame using some Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
 Altered "Monogrammed Circus Frame"

Supplies Used
Patterned Paper, Stickers: Momenta
Ball Fringe: Hobby Lobby
Adhesive: Helmar
Frame

These red crimped alpha stickers from Momenta are perfect for monograms. Each sticker sheet has 2 different sizes of the letters. So I used a small 'C' and a small 'D' for her her first and middle initials. Then I used a large 'F' for her last initial. I put these in a diagonal pattern across the glass of the frame. Then I added the circus themed embellishments and some ball fringe.
Aren't these clear layered stickers the cutest?!!!
 And they provide great dimension!
I sure hope Mom will enjoy these 2 altered items. I am pretty sure she will! And I hope these projects will inspire you to look around your world and alter something up! Altering really is so fun!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy Scrappin'!!!

I just love your altered items. That is something that I am not very good at and admire that people do. These are awesome.
