Finally Got To Scrappin' In My New Studio!

Howdy Y'all! Happy Hump Day! I hope you are having a marvelous week so far! The hubby had to go to Jersey, so I have the house to myself for almost 2 whole days! So today I got down to some serious scrappy business and got to work in my new scrappy studio! Yay! It was so fun to work in a new space. It is going to take some getting used to, but I know it won't take me too long! Tee Hee! I was able to create 3 projects today. I will share 2 with you here today and then the 3rd on Friday. It's for a Helmar blog post, so if ya can, be sure to check back to see that one. :)

First up, I wanted to start off with something simple. Last week when I shared pix of my new scrappy space (below) I told y'all about this AWESOME frame I picked up at Big Lots for $6!!! Well, I knew I wanted to alter it for my new scrappy space. I am going with a theme of hot pink, lime green, and chocolate brown. And of course, it is in my southernbelle theme. This project took me like 5 minutes. I did not add a lot to the frame. It is such an ornate frame, I felt it did not need much. I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye for the background. I then used my Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) Software to cut out the sothernbelle's silhouette. Simple, quick, and elegant! Just what I had envisioned! I hope you'll like it...
Second up, I wanted to play along again in the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. I played in my first BBTB2 challenge a few weeks ago and had so much fun! I am always amazed by the crafty talent at that blog! Those ladies rock and are so inspiring! This week the challenge is to use a 'fence.' So I pulled out my Gypsy to search for what fences I had. After trying several, I finally settled on a basic picket fence on the 'My Community' cartridge. I used my Gypsy to weld together my card base and fence. I used 'Gypsy Wanderings' for the card base and grass. I used 'Lyrical Letters' for the phrase and 'Celebrate With Flourish' for the bunny. This paper is from My Mind's Eye. I also added some bling through Stickles glitter glue and the use of pearls. Of course, I adhered everything with my favorite Helmar Adhesives. I used the Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, Zap Dots, and 450 Quick Dry Adhesive on this project. Here is my card:
(if you want to see it bigger, click on the picture)
I hope you can see my picket fence in the background. I was going to go with a basic white fence, but thought I'd switch it up a tad. I seem to always use white fences, so I thought I'd go outside my norm. I cut it out in red.
I popped up the bunny for some dimension.
Here is the back of the card. I just put a white square so that I could write on that. Then I used my personalized stamp to stamp my name on the back.
OOOH, and guess what?!!! Sheila (Sassylady) has posted us a new challenge over on the 'Gypsy Chat' section of the Cricut Message Board!!! These challenges are the best! They always help me to use my Gypsy and I always learn something! If you'd like to play along, go HERE to check out all the details! AND there's a prize up for grabs!!! I know I'll be working on a project tomorrow if possible! I hope y'all will join in too!

Ok, that's all for me today! I will try to be back tomorrow with a new scrappy project, but if not, definitely on Friday! Y'all have a fabulous Thursday! Happy Scrappin' to ya and thanks for visiting my blog!

Hugs!
