Christmas At The Gandy's

Hey yall! Happy Friday! I took a little break from scrappin' and spent the whole day yesterday decorating our house for Christmas. We live in a small apartment and it is a challenge to decorate. We do not have a lot of room, but I try to make it look as cozy and Christmassy as I can. So I thought I would take a minute to share our decorations with you today. It's not much, but I worked really hard....about 12 hours yesterday.

At first, I was not going to put up our Christmas tree. As I said, we do not have the room and since we always go home to AL for the holidays, I haven't put it up the past few years. But I just had to this time. I had to nudge it up next to our entertainment armoire in the living room and it was a tight fit, but it sure did make a huge difference. The living room looks so festive now. I decorate most of the house in blues/silver/white and snowmen. Here is our tree:
This is the ornament my in-law's got for us this year. Isn't it the cutest? Thank you Vicki and Kenneth! I love you guys!
Top of the tree. I have used these for many years and I think this will be the last year I use them. They are showing their age, but still look nice. I think next year I may go all out and do the tree I've always dreamed of....a peacock tree. Yall know how I love 'em! So stay tuned for that! Tee Hee!
I put a collection of different snowmen on the top of the entertainment armoire.
My Snowmen Smore stuff...I purchased all of these at Cracker Barrel a few years ago. I need more Smore stuff!
This window was purchased the 2nd year Brandon and I spent together as a married couple. I got it at a Christmas arts and crafts show in Birmingham, AL. These snowmen inspired many projects in my home. It is a vintage window that had been painted. I added some blue fabric to the back. I hung this over our couch.
Another item I purchased at the Christmas show. We love things like this and are big on putting our name on things...LOL.
I decided to do something different in the dining room this year. Instead of the usual snowmen dishes with blue accents, I did the exact opposite...bright reds and greens. I will put out the snowman dishes in January. I purchased the deer centerpiece at a flea market in Tupelo, MS. The wreath at the base of the deer is a great find I picked up at Big Lots...only $20 bucks! The dishes are actually my Valentine dishes, but I gave them new life on this table. The wine goblets came from The Christmas Tree Shoppe and were $1.99 each. I wish I had all red and green decoration to put inside the china cabinet in the background, but do not...maybe next year.
The deer has red sequins on it. It is so pretty at night. It shimmers when you walk past it when the light reflects off of it. It is a tall centerpiece, but just what I was looking for on this table.
 Individual place settings
These green chargers came from Hobby Lobby and were $2 a piece I believe. I love me some Hobby Lobby!!!! I'm adding some green napkins to this as soon as I can go to the store and pick up some. The little red circles that you see next to the plate are the napkin rings.
Put more snowmen stuff in the kitchen. The blue altered ice skate was bought at the same craft fair that I bought the window at.
More stuff in the kitchen. I bought the 'snowman' scale at the craft fair in Birmingham too. I love this piece! It has 'snowballs by the pound' painted on the top.
I hand painted these oven eye covers to match all of the snowmen stuff.
Why yes, I decorate my bathroom for Christmas too...LOL! :)
So that is our home for the holidays. I turned on our Fabreze Scent Stories with a Holiday Home Disc in it and it smells so festive! This has inspired me...I'm back to scrappin'! I hope you have enjoyed our decorations. If anyone puts their decorations up on their blog, give me a shout! I'd love to see them! :)

Have a fabulous weekend! Happy Scrappin'!

Wow your home is so beautifully decorated! I just love it. The snowmen are wonderful and your table is so inviting you just want to come in sit down and eat one of those famous Aymee dishes we read about! Thanks for sharing these festive photos with us!
