Happy Birthday

Hey yall! Happy Thursday! I am so excited today! I am the guest designer today at 'She's A Sassylady!!!!' This is one of my favorite blogs for Cricut/Gypsy inspo and I was thrilled when Sheila asked me to create something for the blog. So, in honor of my 27th birthday (which is this coming Monday) I created a birthday card. I have just been in the mood to celebrate. If you would like to view a couple of tutorials (one on how to make a easel fold card and one on using cupcake liners), be sure to hop on over to her blog today. You can find that HERE.

But I did want to give ya a peek at the card I made. I am gonna display this in my house for next week. Yea, even if I did make it myself. LOL. You see, as many of you know, due to Brandon's hectic work schedule and the fact that we live SO far away from our family/friends in Alabama, I almost always spend my birthday alone. I usually just prefer not to even take note of my birthday, but this year, I'm gonna have fun, even if I am alone! So I have decided to make a gourmet dinner (Eggplant Timbale...and you know I'll share it with you guys next week) and enjoy myself. And here's to hoping Brandon will be home to share it with me, even if it is only for dinner.

"Happy Birthday"
I used the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge and my Gypsy for this card. I also used my Cuttlebug and D'Vine Swirl embossing folder. I used some Stickles glitter glue on the cherries and the sentiment. These patterned papers are from Sassafras Lass. I've had them in my scrappy stash for some time and am so glad I finally used 'em up. And you know I used some of my favorite adhesives from Helmar. I used the Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, Zap Dots, and 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the red strip of paper. I also brought in some ball fringe, a cupcake liner, and some rhinestones.
I love using cupcake liner on my crafty projects! It is so affordable and I love the dimension it gives.
Isn't this clown patterned paper the cutest? I found it at a local scrappy store in Hershey last year.
I have the cupcakes popped up on 2 layers.
Remember to hop on over to She's A Sassylady if you can! Love that blog!

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Scrappin'!
