DT Tryout Work To Share With Ya...

Hey yall!!! How are ya? Well, I have had these projects done for some time now but was not able to share them with you. I tried out for the DT at TallyScrapper and we were not allowed to put them anywhere until after the 30th. So it's killed me having to wait to share! Tee Hee! I always like to share when I finish. But anyways, for the DT call, we had to create 2 never before seen layouts, and 1 card.

I did create one card....but, you will have to check my blog tomorow, because I have a special plan for it!! So be sure to come back tomorrow to see it and the chance for some blog candy!!!

Here are my 2 layouts......
'Inquisitive'
This is my bff from high school's little girl, Olivia. Isn't she the cutest??!!!! I just love to scrap her!!! I used my SCAL software for the shaped paper in the background. Here is the link to the file if you would like it:
Heather's SVG files are awesome too! She made some borders to match this shaped paper that are the cutest! So check those out on her blog if you want. I also used some lace, ribbon, twine, bling, stitching, inking, and Stickles glitter glue on the page. Here it is:

"Eye of the Beholder"
Here is the second layout I created for the call. I know many know this about me, but if you don't, I have a obsession for peacocks!!! I love them!!! I'd have one for a pet if I could! LOL. I've always wanted to scrap a peacock page and am so glad I finally got to. I found this picture on Flickr and asked the photographer for permission to use it. She allowed me to use it and I am so glad she did. I love the picture!!! I started with a 12x12 cardboard base. I used some white scrapbook paint on it. After that dried, I added some black ink to the edges and lavender ink to the ridges. All paper is My Mind's Eye. I also brought in some real peacock feathers, lace, glittered Thickers, and glittered chipboard. For the flower, I used a technique from Sandy on the Cricut message board. She has started a new blog with some other Cricut gals and it looks like it will be so much fun. Here is a link to the tutorial....if ya use it, be sure to let Sandy know and let 'em know I sent ya! :)
I used the 'Home Accents' cartridge for the flower. I added some Stickles glitter glue to the petals for some bling. Here is my page....

Thank you all for stoppin' by! I hope you enjoyed these projects!!! Happy Scrappin'
