Unscripted Sketches #29

Hey yall!!! Happy Halloween!!! I hope you have a wonderful day today!!!

I am sad to say that this will be my last week with Unscripted Sketches. I have decided to step down from my position on the design team to pursue some new things. All of the Unscripted ladies have been such a pleasure and inspiration to work with. I will miss them all very much but would like to take this opportunity to say 'Thank You' to all of them and I hope they all know I will miss them so much!!!! But I won't go too far!!! I just love their sketches and will still visit often. Now, on to this week's sketch. If you would like to see the sketch and play along, visit here...

http://unscriptedsketches.com/

I created a card this week using the sketch. The bingo card is from Jenni Bowlin. I cut the medallion shape out using the Cricut Home Decor cartridge. The rubon is from Kaisercraft. I stitched on some red ribbon too. The bling is from Glitz.

So you can see some of the dimension...

Thank you for stopping by today!

5. Home Accents
6. Home Decor
All paper is from Die Cuts With A View. I also added in some bling, ribbon, trim, Stickles glitter glue, and other embellishment. Here is the book...

A Spooky Challenge From The Cuttlebug Spot

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!!!! It's a new week and we have a new challenge for you at The Cuttlebug Spot!!!! This week we are making Halloween cards! Check out the challenge here:

http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

For my card, I started out with a Jenni Bowlin Halloween Bingo card for my base. I just love those JB bingo cards! So fun!!! I also added some bling, ribbons, pins, the Haunted House embossing folder, the Swiss Dots embossing folder, a Fiskars border punch (Apron Lace), and a Martha Stewart border punch (drippy goo). Here it is....and excuse this pic...not the best. That is the only downside to winter...I have to take so many pix inside because it's so dreary outside. Ugh! I need some sun!!!!! LOL!

The Haunted House Embossing folder...these little ghosts came out of a Halloween button pack I bought at Hobby Lobby.

I used the Swiss Dots folder on the green paper...

Up close of the Halloween pins. These came from the Tallyscrappers October kit. Aren't they the cutest? Love those pins!!!!

I hope yall will come on over and join us! We'd love to have ya!! Thanks for taking a moment to visit my blog! Have a wonderful week and a Happy Halloween!!!!!

Unscripted Sketches #28

Hey yall! Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! We have a fun, new sketch for you at Unscripted Sketches. Here is the link for you...

http://unscriptedsketches.com/

For my card this week, I used the September card kit from Treasured Scrapbooking. It has some great stuff in there! Love it!!! I hope you can tell a bit about this card. The weather just would not cooperate with me and I had to shoot this inside. So the green is a bit limey....if that makes sense! LOL. It is not as bright in person.

The kit has some of the coolest ribbon in it. Isn't it so unique?!!!

I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and added some buttons. The rest is from the kit.

Thank you for stoppin' by today! I hope to get my scrap on this weekend and have lots more to post!!! I have been just so busy this past week with online things that I haven't gotten to sit down and create. So I hope I can catch up soon!!! Enjoy your weekend and Happy Scrappin'!!!! Hugs!

This font is called 'Romance Fatal Serif.' It is one of my fave fonts!!! I also added some pearls to the chandelier and Stickles to the flourishes. Here is the page...

Boo To You!!!

Hey guys! How are ya on this Monday? I'm in a great mood and ready to start a new week. I've got oodles of board book orders to work on this week. I want to get them done and shipped out. But first, as always, Monday means a new challenge at one of my favorite blogs...The Cuttlebug Spot. This week we are making treat containers for Halloween. Go on over to the blog and check out all of the goodies the other DT has in store for ya! Then, join us for the challenge! We'd love to see what you can do!!!

http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

For my project, I created a little sour cream container. I found this idea on Splitcoast Stampers. If you would like to give it a go as well, here is the link to the tutorial for ya...

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/sour_cream_container/

This really was so easy and fun to make! I did not have a paper crimper, so I did not crimp my edges. I used a Zig glue pen to close my ends shut and it works perfect. I then used some ribbon on my ends to finish it off. I used the Spiderweb and Boo To You embossing folders. I also brought in a pin that has a pumpkin on the end. I filled my treat container with a 'Grasshopper' cookie 100 calorie pack. Here it is...

Yall need to give this one a try today! It is so fun and so easy! You could easily put together several of these in no time to give as gifts!!!

As always, thanks for stoppin' by today!!! I hope you have a wonderful week and Happy Scrappin'! See ya again soon!

For this week's sketch, I decided to make a Halloween card. I used my October kit from Tallyscrapper's for this one. I just LOVE that kit!!! It is beyond awesome!!! All of the embellishments in it are just out of this world!!! I cut the tombstone shape out using my SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) and Cricut Expression. I have this file on my SVG blog under the 'Halloween board book' if you need it. I then made it into a shaped card. Easy peasy and fun!!! Here it is...

Apples To Apples

Hey guys! In the mood for a challenge? Then come on over to Tallyscrappers and play in a challenge by yours truly!!! It's easy and fun! Here is the link to the challenge for ya! I'd love for you to come and play!!!

http://www.tallyscrapper.com/scrapbook_gallery_challenge.php?challenge_id=839

Here is my page that I created for the challenge. This is Carter heading off to his first day of preschool. I used the Cricut Home Accents cartridge for the apples. I added Stickles glitter glue to the top of the apples for some bling. For the photo mat, I took strips of this apple printed double sided paper and weaved it. I then used my sewing machine to stitch in red and green. The alphas are Thickers. I stickled those too.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!!!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Take care and Happy Scrappin'!

So 'Reveal'ing....

Hey yall!! It's another reveal day for me. I have a couple of new things to share with ya. First, today we have a fun new challenge for ya at ScrapFIT. Here is the link for you if you'd like to join us...we'd love to have ya....

http://scrapfit.blogspot.com/

This challenge requires you to use the following on your project:
1. A black/white photo
2. black/white cardstock
3. distressing of some kind
4. black/white patterned paper
5. 'Memories' as your title

I created a layout for this challenge. This has got to be one of my more simpler pages, but I'm kinda gettin' into it. LOL. I used the Cricut Home Decor' cart for my title. I distressed around the edge of the photo. I also brought in some ribbon, buttons, and stitching. Here it is...

Here is my LO #2 for this month at Treasured Scrapbooking. I was assigned the Kit #2 this month and it is just spooktacular! It has some of the CUTEST Halloween goodies in there! If you are looking for some cute Halloween scrappiness, go by the store at Treasured and pick this up today! It rocks!!!! This layout is called "Pumpkin Patch." This is Carter a few years ago at the local pumpkin patch. He got to stuff his own scarecrow, which is behind him. I sanded the edges of this pic to distress it up a bit. I also brought in some stamping in the background with an argyle patterned stamp from Stampin' Up. The alpha's are Thickers. Here it is:

Also, here is my altered project using the same kit. I received this little recipe chipboard album from one of my best buddies, Liz!!! She is just the sweetest pal ever and I am so blessed to have her in my life! Love ya Liz and thank you again for this album!!! I used some gold Stickles on the lettering. I tied black toile and an assortment of black/orange ribbons on the binder rings. All of the embellishment on the book was pulled from the aforementioned kit. I am so glad I did this project. I have been in so many themed recipe swaps and I filled this book with my Halloween/Fall recipe's I've received through the swaps. I used the Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch and the EK Success Boo punch on the front cover as well. Here is the outside cover....

Here is what it looks like when you open the inside cover. I left the orange square blank so that the recipient could put 'this book belongs to...' But I tell ya, this is one I might have to keep for myself! Tee Hee!
This little skull is from Tim Holtz. It is grungeboard and is included in the kit. I love it!!!

Inside of back cover.... (I know one of my fellow bloggers had asked me where I was getting these nostalgic looking postcards...I'm thinking it was Donna Mundinger???...well they are pulled from this kit. Go to the store at Treasured and I'm sure you can purchase them by themselves if you would like) :)

Back cover....I used the Martha Stewart 'graveyard' punch on this one.
Thanks for stoppin' by my blog today! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week! Happy Scrappin' and see you soon!!!
