Debut's Out The Whazoo!!! LOL!

Hey yall!! Happy Saturday!!! It's the first day of August! Can you believe it? This summer is flying by! I can't believe it's almost time for kids to go back to school! But I am ready for fall! Hee hee!! Anyways, Saturday is one of my fave days of the week because it is debut day for Unscripted Sketches. The sketch this week was so fun to work with. If you would like to see the sketch and the other DT's fabulous projects, go here:

I decided to make an altered project this week. This is a premade box from Oriental Trading that I altered with American Crafts papers. I really had a lot of fun with this project. It was so easy to create and I love those funky papers. I also incorporated some bling, pom pom trim, ribbon, and Thickers. Here it is:

At Treasured Scrapbooking, we are to create an original layout and coordinating sketch for the 1st of every month. Here is the coordinating sketch I created:

Here is the layout. This layout was created using the Treasured Scrapbooking Kit #1. This is Olivia, my BFF from high school's little girl. I used my Cuttlebug for the butterflies and my Cricut Expression for the circles.

As a DT Member, I also am responsible for one challenge per month. This month, I chose to base my challenge around a festival that we have in my hometown of Russellville, AL every August....the Watermelon festival!! Go on over to Treasured and join in on the challenges if you can! All of the DT post some fun challenges and they always get the creativity going. Here is my layout for my challenge:

Today is also the debut of the workout challenges at a new challenge blog called ScrapFIT. I hope you all will come on over and join in on these fun challenges! This is going to be a great blog and I know there will be so much inspiration going on! Here is the link for you:

For our first challenge, we were asked to create a project with the following guidelines: Water sports and the use of 'ink.' I knew when Kelly told us about this challenge that I wanted to scrap these pictures of Carter outside at Momaw's playing with the hose. Mom snapped this shot and I love how a rainbow showed up in the background. Carter loves to pull out the hose and play to beat the summer heat. All patterned paper is My Mind's Eye. I used some felt Thickers for the title, which I later went over with yellow Stickles. I used my Cricut to cut out the circle for my sun. I then cut some strips for the 'rays'. I added a variety of yellow buttons on the top of my sun for some embellishment. I also decided to add a bit of dimension with my 'rays.' I used Red Colorbox Ink around the edges of some of my paper. Here is the layout:

So you can see the dimension of the 'rays.'
If you can, do hop on over to the blog to see the other fabulous layouts by my fellow DT sista's. We'd love to see what fabulous scrappiness you can do too! So join in on the fun!

Also, we have a fun new challenge at The Chirper Challenge. Here is the link for you:

I chose to make an owl shaped card. This owl is from Happily Ever After. I also incorporated some lace, bling, ribbon, and pearl trim. Here it is:

Whoo...I think that is all! It's a busy day today, but super fun! Thank you for stoppin' in today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Happy Scrappin'!

Oh my word, you've been busy! I really like your box with the owls, it's too cute.

And your scrapbook layouts are all GREAT! I love the sunshine too. In fact, I think it could be done in black and be a spider this fall...

WOW! Your altered project (house) is so cute! I also love that owl card. The layout of Olivia is just precious. That sketch is very interesting; I am already thinking about how I will use it. I also really like the sketch/layout of Carter playing in the water. The use of photos is very eye-catching. I also like the sewing and colors of the challenge associated with the Watermelon Festival. You have surely been a busy young lady!
