Twilight

Hey yall! How are you doing? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a very busy, but very fun weekend. We are really having a fun time with our family here in Alabama. Sadly though, my hubby, Brandon had to leave yesterday to go back to Pennsylvania. I am staying on in Bama for about a month. So hopefully I can start blogging again on a daily basis. I miss it! But me and Mom have been busy scrappin' away. We each got several things done this weekend. I can't show you all of it yet since some of it is DT work, but I will show you what I can.

First, I have to confess! LOL. I am in LOVE with the Twilight series! I am on book two, 'New Moon' right now and am having a ball reading these. I knew when I completed the first book, that I would have to scrap it. I had so much fun creating this layout!! I also used this layout for a challenge on Just Scrappin' for our birthday crop. I ordered the 3-D paper piecings you see from a lady in Canada. I just love them. I incorporated some delicate lace near the bottom because it reminds me of the sweater Bella is wearing at the prom. Here is the layout....

I wrote down one of my fave quotes from the novel, which reads: "About three things I was absolutely positive: First, Edward was a vampire; Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood; and third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."

Yes, I admit it, I have OCD=Obsessive Cullen Disorder! LOL. Just an FYI in case you have not read the book, the handsome vampire in the novel is Edward Cullen.

You'll have to excuse the title. I wanted to shake things up a bit with my Twilight layout. LOL. I used Stone Script for the lettering. I also used my Martha Stewart 'Drippy Goo' punch to resemble blood dripping, after all, Twilight is about vampires.

One of my fave quotes from the book..."And So The Lion Fell In Love With The Lamb." I used Making Memories Tiny Alphas for the quote.

This is a ticket stub that came along with the paper piecings I ordered. It says "When You Can Live Forever, What Do You Live For? underneath the picture of the novel. Then above the barcode it reads..."I feel very safe with you," another quote from the novel.

Next, I did this LO for a challenge on Just Scrappin'. The challenge was to use one sheet of cardstock, one sheet of patterned paper, one picture, a one word title, and one technique (I chose distressing with ink.) I made this layout for my Mom. I also incorporated some new blue lacy trim that I got for $1 a yard at Hobby Lobby this past weekend! I tell yall, I am on a ribbon/trim/lace kick! I have to have more! I bet me and Mom got 15 various trims for around $15 this week at HL. Here is this one:

I did this layout for the 'Just Add Scraps' Challenge this past weekend on Treasured Scrapbooking. Carter loves to blow air into his milk to make what he calls a 'volcano.' LOL. I used Plantin' School book for the rounded edge squares.

This layout is for a challenge I am hosting on Just Scrappin'. I gave a sketch and you had to make a girly/glam layout. I chose to scrap one of my idols, Marilyn Monroe. One of my good friends, KarenB, sent me these papers and embellishments. I just adore them! Thank you Karen!!!! Here is the layout:

I cut my title, 'Some Like It Hot' with the Cursive 101 cartridge. The pink trim is some more of my finds at Hobby Lobby this weekend. It reminded of ruffles and I had to have it being the girly girl I am. LOL.

I wrote on a journaling page that KarenB sent along with the goodies.

This is another 3-D paper piecing that I special ordered. This is my fave portrait of Marilyn.
