Thank Goodness It's Friday!!! Yay!!!

Hey yall! It's Friday! Whoo hoo! I am busy packing today. The hubby and I will be driving home to Bama tomorrow. We will leave PA about 5:00 am. So if you could, please think of us tomorrow while we are on the road. Thanks! Anyways, before packing up the camera, I had to snap some pix of the things I finished up yesterday.

This first layout is for the challenge this week on 'Punk Rock Scrappers.' Since St. Patty's day was this week, the challenge was not to scrap about being 'lucky,' but to scrap about being 'unlucky.' Well, I have had this layout on my mind for months now. It is something that really bothers me. It feels good to get it out on paper. I am doing some work for a special album for me. This layout will go in there. That way if I want anyone else to see it, they can, but if not, it will be just for me. I think it is so important to scrap what you are feeling. Even if it is not always happy, you need to record those moments in your life. This layout is called 'Unlucky' and discusses my issues with having trouble conceiving. I used the Cricut Home Decor' cart for the chandelier, the New Arrival cart for my pregnant lady silhouette, and Plantin' Schoolbook for my tag. I slid the tag, which includes more journaling, down into a 'Date Due' library pocket. The lettering is chipboard that I inked up a tad with Tim Holtz 'Fired Brick' Distress Ink. I also incorporated some stitching and bling. I stapled on the wide red satin ribbon at the bottom. The outside of the 'library pocket' includes the date. I also underlined the word 'due' and put a question mark beside it. Then it reads:
"Why can't I get pregnant??? What's wrong with me? I know in my heart that I would be a good mom!!!! Is this punishment for something I did/did not do? Is it a blessing in disguise??? I just do NOT understand WHY??? -A-.

Then I also wrote more journaling on the tag that slides down on the inside. it reads:
"Go ahead! Judge me all you want for doing a layout on such touchy subject matter! I really don't care what you think if you think I'm awful for feeling this way! You have not walked a mile in my shoes! You do not know how I feel or what I'm going through, so don't' judge me! Don't tell me "You are so young! You have all the time in the world to have a baby!" How could you possibly know that? I'm 25 years old and have been trying for years! You have no idea how freakin' frustrating it is!!! I see people every day who have kids and don't want them! Why them? Why not me? I would be a good and loving parent! So would my hubby! Are we to go through this forever or will I be granted the thing I want more than anything else in this world???"

Whoo! You have no idea how good it feels to get that off my back!!! Here is the layout:

Second, a happier layout. LOL. This layout is for 2 challenges on Treasured Scrapbooking. It is called "Blooming Beauty." I cut the flowers our with the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge and embossed them with my Cuttlebug. I cut the title, which I glittered, with Storybook. The flourishes and medallion are from Home Accents. I also did some stitching around the circle and around the picture. Here is this one:

As always, thanks for stopping by! I hope each of you have a wonderful weekend! See you Sunday!
BIG Hugs!!!!

Aymee, love your layouts and want you to know that I can so relate to you. We tried for 10 years and had already adopted a child when I found out I was pregnant. The doctors to me it would almost impossible for me to become pregnant, so when I kind of forgot about it, God blessed us so much.

I'm glad that you can get your feelings out. I think I held mine in because during all that time my sisters was having babies and I didn't dare let her know how much it hurt to hold them and want one of my own.

Your layouts are beautiful.

I love both of these layouts. I like your point of scrapping your feelings. I think I get hung up on only making "sweet cute" layouts. lol I think I'm going to take a cue from you and try some new types of layouts! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing something so personal!
